I thought they were accusations and he wasn't held accountable for that stuff, or am I misinformed about the situation?
That's my understanding as well. It might have been speculation at the time and it's been a long time so my memory may not be right, but I seem to remember those charges not sticking because the feds pushed him towards trying to hire their own operative to do the deed. Made for some great pearl clutching when they made the arrest, but they knew it wouldn't stick.
