Gross.*

*this has been my daily "we shouldn't have yearly phone releases" rant.

Why not? You don't have to buy them every year.

"From 20 June 2025, consumers will be able to benefit from smartphones and tablets that are both longer-lasting and more easily repairable thanks to new rules. It will also be much easier to choose more durable phones, thanks to a new energy label with repairability and reliability scores." https://blog.beuc.eu/heres-how-your-next-smartphone-will-be-longer-lasting-and-easier-to-repair/

Hopefully #Googles tries to profit from this by having their Flagship be one of the firsts that have these official labels with good Stats.

At first I thought they would try to rush it to bring it into market before the new EU rules apply.

I have been waiting for this to get a more easily repairable #Pixel with #GrapheneOS.

Yeah I will be cautiously optimistic and definitely run GrapheneOS if I get one of these.
