Starting this month you can throw bricks at chuds

The rainbow flag or pride flag is a symbol of LGBT pride and LGBT social movements. The colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT community and the spectrum of human sexuality and gender. Using a rainbow flag as a symbol of LGBT pride began in San Francisco, California, but eventually became common at LGBT rights events worldwide.

Originally devised by the artists Gilbert Baker, Lynn Segerblom, James McNamara and other activists, the design underwent several revisions after its debut in 1978, and continues to inspire variations. Although Baker's original rainbow flag had eight colors, from 1979 to the present day the most common variant consists of six stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. The flag is typically displayed horizontally, with the red stripe on top, as it would be in a natural rainbow.

LGBT people and allies currently use rainbow flags and many rainbow-themed items and color schemes as an outward symbol of their identity or support. There are derivations of the rainbow flag that are used to focus attention on specific causes or groups within the community (e.g. transgender people, fighting the AIDS epidemic, inclusion of LGBT people of color). In addition to the rainbow, many other flags and symbols are used to communicate specific identities within the LGBT community.

There's an amazing vegan restaurant in Dublin called the Saucy Cow, and honestly I don't know what alchemy they do there but the food is incredible. If you took a meat-eater and gave them a burger with cheese from this place they wouldn't even know they were eating a vegan meal

Jonathan Joss, 'King of the Hill' voice actor, killed in San Antonio shooting - NBC NEWS

The 59-year-old actor, best known as the voice of John Redcorn in the hit animated series, died Sunday, police said. Jonathan Joss, the voice actor best known as John Redcorn from "King of the Hill," was killed in a San Antonio shooting on Sunday, police said.

A suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, was taken into custody and booked on a murder charge, the San Antonio Police Department said.

Officers were dispatched to Dorsey Drive around 7 p.m. Sunday for a shooting and arrived to find the actor, whose legal name is Jonathan Joss Gonzales, near the roadway after he was shot, police said. Authorities attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived and pronounced Joss, 59, dead.

Joss was the voice of John Redcorn in the Fox animated series from seasons 2 through 13. John Redcorn was a “New Age healer” and masseur, who was always addressed by his full name or "Mr. Redcorn."

A new season of "King of the Hill" revival is set to debut on Hulu in August. In a credit sequence shared Friday, John Redcorn is seen driving by in his classic tan Jeep.

Joss also played Ken Hotate in "Parks and Recreation" and had roles in "Tulsa King" and the 2016 remake of "The Magnificent Seven." His most recent acting credit was in 2023 for voicing a character in the "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty" video game.

Joss' family home in San Antonio was destroyed in a fire in January. An online fundraiser stated three of his dogs had been killed in the fire and raised more than $10,000. Joss told local reporters then that he did not have a job. Representatives and family of Joss could not immediately be reached for comment

After having accidentally made my rice blue last week, I experimented and I now have a portion of blue rice, a portion of red-ish rice, a portion of green rice and portion of normal white rice. I have given these rice different levels of spiciness. Should I serve them with beans of matching (Blue goes with black) or clashing colored beans.

To make the revolution, to transform the old society into a new one is a very glorious, but also extremely heavy task, a complex, protracted and hard struggle. Only a strong man can travel a long distance with a heavy load on his back. A revolutionary must have a solid foundation of revolutionary morality in order to fulfil his glorious revolutionary task.

I hadn't read any thing aside from snippits of Ho Chi Minh before, I really enjoy the style of writing and clearness of his On Revolutionary Morality. Reading it is giving me drive to get hella fit and more engaged cat-com

Pride is weird when you don't know anyone, I feel like a fed walking around being gay by myself

spitballing on Pride/lonelinessAn alternative thought to this is that most people probably aren't like "why are they alone WHY ARE THEY ALONE WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEM"

However I then discover that I get jealous almost instantly when I see two people walking around. It always blows my mind too, I'm like, "people go to things with each other, how do they do that? would someone ever go to things with me?

literally it can be two people with no obvious relationship and I'm over here like "Wow, the human condition. When's it my turn, huh?" this does not strike me as a situation I can create for myself.

This is a year-round feeling, but I feel it strongly right now. I don't really go on the trans comm here anymore, so idk how common these feelings are there. I can't keep contorting myself to fit in. I can't keep explaining myself. I can't keep crashing out in the megathread hoping that someone will want to "be my friend" (which neurotypicals do not want to hear btw)

Who am I kidding nobody remembers my old account much less what a shit I was lmao

Pacing around the venue/not knowing who to talk to/leaving after 15 minutes gang rise up

Yes we're here, yes we're real, and yes we are sorry for both of those facts

Every now and then (like three minutes ago) someone reminds me that LinkedIn exists and I'm momentarily so fucking grateful my union makes it so I don't have to maintain some shitty social media profile just to keep having a job. Like that shit looks so degrading.

I was brainstorming a concept EP where Bon Iver and a-guy traded places. You know, they both went to the woods to process their trauma, but while one got into music, the other got into crafts.

Then I remember how a decade ago someone did a bunch of Alex Jones quotes in the style of a Bon Iver or Sufjan Stevens. They basically beat me to it, unless I would still consider fleshing out that EP and throwing it in as a cover.

The managers declared they could not tolerate such disruptions, and hinted forebodingly that, ‘a substantial number of tensions and problems arise from the co-habitation of a large number of women, therein also young girls.’¹¹⁴ That is, the managers worried a single-sex female environment lent itself to rampant lesbianism.
