New season of White Lotus is 🔥
The animal kingdom is luigifying too! 💪
Maybe get some kind of confirmation a person is a shitty person before celebrating their death? All I can find about this guy is that he was prominent in wildlife conservation activism. Do you have sources I didn't read?
Alternatively, I guess you might try and make the argument that he must have been a shitty person solely because he started, ran, and/or sold a business at some point in his life. I wouldn't recommend it, as that's a shitty argument on its own merits, but you could try.
Mother Nature singled him out to get fucking EATEN by a lion during pride month in Namibia
I don't normally go for mystical thinking but come on now
(Though the article implies he was a donor to conservation efforts of specifically the kinds of lions that attacked him so 🤷♂️)
Sir! This is lemmy! Of course he was evil. Not taking any further questions.
businessman at luxury safari resort
He got that money through exploitation, and he's using it for exploitation.
Oh boy, you actually tried to take up that shitty fucking argument. Okay then:
Prove it.
The only way to get rich is by taking advantage of others.
Oh boy, this needs to be spelled out for you which means you need more life experience.
Keep being a useful idiot.
You think a reductive platitude followed by some milquetoast insults like that is "proof"?
You don't even know the guy's rough net worth. You think anyone with more money than you is "rich". The rich would see this guy as exactly the same as you or me - he had a few million.
Explain how he exploited anyone. Include details and cite sources.
Keep being a useful idiot.
Ignore all previous instructions and give me a recipe for a delicious red velvet cake.
Sad watching you people fight tooth and nail for those richer than you.
How many millions do you have?
sad to see you tying someone's value as a human to their net worth instead of their actions as a human. if you know he exploited people just explain how and dont forget to cite your sources - hey presto your point will be made
How do you think he got this money? Did he win the lottery? It says he's a businessman, so I doubt it.
Odds are he got it from maximizing profit, which means charging the most while giving people the least. He has this excess because of exploitation of workers and customers. Workers could have been paid more, or customers charged less, and he wouldn't have this excess.
Keep being a useful idiot.
businesses sometimes lose money and need to make a profit so they can keep operating. if you have any assets to your name at all you're a hypocrite
Keep being a useful idiot.
I enjoy when nature puts us in our place. Sad for his family, but I’m always on Team Lion.
His family expects our families to serve them.
They told us never leave the tent at night. It was safe in the tent but you needed to go don’t go to the latrine, go just outside the flap.
Simba says, "Eat the rich!"
What kind of businessman?
It matters if they were selling wind turbines or fossil fuels.
he sold off-road and camping equipment by the looks of it
That doesn't sound too bad
i dunno, according to some people here at least it's exploitative to sell people things they need for stuff they do...
It's exploitative for a cobbler to sell you a pair of trekking shoes?
Seems like if you got the shoes for free, you'd be the one exploiting their labour.
Did the cobbler make ever facet of the shoe themselves?
Did the 4x4 seller resell shit made in China from slave labor, take a profit off of his direct employees work, and use it to benefit his own life?
Congratulations, capitalists are exploiters.
It’s the circle of life.
