What crime has he committed? I think his primary crime is running for governor because he’s done such a bad job. What he’s to that state is like what Biden did to this country. And that’s pretty bad. It’s the wrong philosophy. Thousands, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, many of them prisoners, they’re taking up your healthcare, they’re taking up your space in schools, they’re taking up your hospital. And in many cases, they’re criminals. And we have to do something about it. And we’re doing something about.

Jesus fucking Christ what have you Americans gotten yourselves into? Do we need to pop across the pond and sort you out again?

Yes please. The sooner the better

I think you mean biscuits.

[-] Deconceptualist@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

I'll call them whatever you want -- Kekse, galletas, piškotki -- if you help us get rid of the fascists.

But personally I'll always associate the word 'biscuit' with this.

I need to re-binge-watch that show again, Dylan Moran makes me quiver

[-] andros_rex@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I’d ask for rescue, but your Supreme Court just ruled that I shouldn’t be allowed to piss anywhere at all because a mediocre children’s author is apparently a kingmaker now. Maybe y’all should prioritize taking care of your own homegrown fascists? This is sorta “there but for the grace of god go I” except yall also did stupid shit like Brexit.

[-] A_Union_of_Kobolds@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Dude this is everyone in MAGA country. It's so fuckin bad. I had a client rant unprompted to me about Biden and electric cars for a half hour on Friday.

My ass is moving to the UK ASAP. Helps when your spouse is from there.

This fucker is like an IRL Michel Scott

"Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t know where it’s going. I just hope to find it somewhere along the way. Like an improv conversation. An improversation."

[-] Freshparsnip@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

Sometimes I'll start a sentence and then I will be able and not to do with him and being able for the best to make us feel like we are the only one that has a lot to say otherwise we will have a lot more time for you guys and we will see if they are going on about the show

[-] GeneralEmergency@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

Well it was this or a woman.

Pretty hard choice for them.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

Whole lotta people that should know better stayed home, too. Also, a lot of people still bleating out nonsense, even now, about "both sides" and talking about "shitlibs" and GenocideJoe and so on.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

Why are you supporting genocide?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

^ Sigh. Exactly the silly kind of talking points I was talking about.

I listen to TYT, and it seems they are even still, as donvict is ramping up to have the military attack Americans, spending an awful lot of time talking about Gaza. This, after they have already spent quite a lot of energy on it as if it's the only thing going on in the world. Yes, Gaza is terrible, and almost none of our citizens love it that our government is funding Israel, but meanwhile, our country is falling into fascism and all too often there are elements among liberals that keep playing the stupid bothsiderist game and seem to lose perspective.

Would Biden/Kamala immediately have fixed things when it comes to Gaza? Doubtful. But with donvict, we have both Gaza AND our country's very future in jeopardy. Pretending it's "both sides" is nothing short of brain-dead.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

I'd like just one of these fuckers talking about what Biden "did to this country" have to explain themselves in a forum where it's moderated. A forum where they cannot get away with magabrained fanfic like "the autopen" or "Hunter's harddrive, oops, I mean 'laptop'".

I keep hearing these dumbfucks saying this and Biden had everything going quite well domestically and headed in even better directions. This dumbass came in and broke everything again.

So I would love to see them called on their claims and have to answer the question - just what was so bad about Biden, exactly?

[-] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

The media is totally out to lunch. I watched HitlerPig in a few different interviews bragging about the cost of gasoline being only $2, and not one "journalist" challenged that assertion. Where is it $2? What state? I travel the entire East Coast for work, and I haven't seen gas below $2.50 since the peak of Covid.

I'm in Florida, and it cycles between $2.90 and $3.20 on a predictable cycle. It's about $2.95 today, and it will be at $2.89 by the weekend, then jump to $3.20 next Monday or Tuesday, guaranteed. The cheapest gas on the East Coast is always South Carolina, and I haven't seen it below $2.60, and it's usually in in the $2.80s.

So $2? Where?

I think his primary crime is running for governor because he’s done such a bad job

Every accusation is a projection.

[-] nthavoc@lemmy.today 3 points 1 month ago

Talking back, jail. Making fun of him, jail. Running for governor, believe it or not, jail.

[-] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

It Trump doesn't like something, he calls it a crime.

[-] Vreyan31@reddthat.com 2 points 1 month ago

This is what every narcissist does -- if you paint him with a bad (and deserved) brush like making him a convicted felon -- well, his vindictiveness has to now make his enemies into felons too, whatever it takes.

You see how hard the propaganda went after Biden? Trying to convince as many tubes as possible that Biden and his son were like Mafia guys...

Every accusation by Trump is another fucking confession.

[-] KAYDUBELL@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

He just so so so stupid. I hate that the leader of the nation is 100x dumber than me. That doesn’t make sense

[-] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

The law is "cause I said so"

[-] nimble@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 month ago

I think his primary crime is running for governor because he’s done such a bad job.

Yeah Donnie, i think you've done such a bad job you should be arrested too if we're playing that game.

[-] alekwithak@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Certainly if he's legalizing the open arrest of political leaders then he's at the top of the list.

[-] tonytins@pawb.social 2 points 1 month ago

Trump committed the crime of running for president.

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Yeah, but running for President when you aren't eligible for the office for fomenting rebellion really is a crime.

[-] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 month ago

Unfortunately the penalty is just getting everything you want.

“But you have a governor who let the city burn down, didn’t want water to be sent down to him,” Trump complained about Newsom and January’s wildfires. “I mean, I sent billions of gallons of water. I wanted to do it in the first term. He wouldn’t do it over. I don’t know, they have environmental reasons, but there were no environmental reasons. It’s, I think it’s just a political philosophy. But it’s lucky for the people in Los Angeles and in California that we did what we did.”

They dumped an entire reservoir full of water designed for agriculture purposes, into the fucking ocean! That reservoir didn't even connect to LA's supply.

[-] nthavoc@lemmy.today 0 points 1 month ago

Billions and billions of gallons of water. Took the entire fresh water supply out the United States and just body slammed it into the ocean. No sir going to let the whole thing burn as god intended. /s just in case.

[-] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 month ago

The water wasn't used for firefighting.

The whole idea was to cause crop failures, which Trump will of course blame California for.

[-] havocpants@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I still find it absolutely wild that the president of the US has this much power, that the president can be an unqualified, incompetent drooling fucking moron and they are allowed to veto sensible knowledgeable people and do dangerous, stupid things like control the dumping of reservoirs.

WTF is wrong with America? In my country we have a parliamentary democracy and a civil service of qualified, intelligent people. We don't allow one total fucking imbecile to ride roughshod over everything and ruin anything they like. US congress is like some useless appendix right now when it should be in charge of making these decisions.

[-] nthavoc@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

If you want a starting point on wtf is wrong, start at Watergate and follow the policies completely influenced by greed, then connect to Citizen's United, and you'll have a pretty good idea. The US had a thing called "checks and balances" built into the foundation of the constitution, but that was all eroded away when congress got lazy and granted the executive branch too many exceptions. Trump is the end result of decades of corruption, greed, and just inept laziness.

[-] ikidd@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

This drama is a setup for elevating Newsom to the Democrat audience and push back on the progressives. And fuck knows, Newsom isn't a progressive.

[-] PugJesus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

"Trump is actually playing 4D Chess!"

Press X to doubt.

[-] PillowD@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago
[-] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

Maybe, but he's always been ignorant and stupid, so it is nearly impossible to tell.

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 0 points 1 month ago

Question: If the governor (of anywhere) is arrested (or dies) who takes over the job as governor? Is there a second place position like Vice President or would they have to have a special election?

[-] brandon@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago

Typically this position is referred to as 'Lieutenant Governor', and every state I know of has one.
