the slain lawmaker as State Rep. Melissa Hortman of Brooklyn Park and her husband, Mark, while state Sen. John Hoffman of Champlin and his wife, Yvette, were injured. Both lawmakers were members of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party. [...] The assailant, who is still at large, allegedly impersonated a police officer.

My support and sympathy to the families. Absolutely no surprise at any of that news.

Now would be a good time. The longer fascism festers the harder it is to get rid of.

I live in a "stand your ground" state. I'm not answering the door for police in the middle of the night. And if they break in, I'm opening fire. That's the lessen I've learned from this madness. ACAB is and always will be.

I'm going to call the soon to be obvious 'gunman shot by police/himself or hung himself with his hands tied behind his back'. Nothing more to see here.

Gunman identified when he showed his drivers license to a McDonald's cashier, a completely normal and everyday occurrence that happens all the time to poor people and no we aren't making this up, why do you ask?

"impersonating" a police officer. Yup, on the largest protest day ever. No need to think more about it. Surely it wouldn't be an actual cop using a scapegoat, nope .

Reporting in from Minnesota: State law enforcement is now telling everybody "Do not show up to No Kings Day Events"

As they fucking should.

You don't need permission to protest. If they try to stop you, protest harder and escalate accordingly

Impersonating a police officer or a disgruntled police officer. Irregardless, the uniform alone will get one close to the target. The USA is a sick country and the fucks in MAGA will make it worse.

[-] Zenith@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

It’s super illegal to impersonate police too
