NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A panel of three federal appellate judges has ruled that a Louisiana law requiring the Ten Commandments to be posted in each of the state’s public school classrooms is unconstitutional.

The ruling on Friday marked a major win for civil liberties groups who say the mandate violates the separation of church and state, and that the poster-sized displays would isolate students — especially those who are not Christian.

I wish I knew how to get people to care as much about wages and health care as they do about this stupid shit.

Don't you get it? This is wages and healthcare

Don't anyone celebrate prematurely. We live in a post-Kennedy v. Bremerton world and if this goes to the current Supreme Court, it'd be out of character for them to uphold the block.

This is NOT a major win for a civil liberties groups. It's a major loss for theocratic lunatics.

What I want to know is, when an AI cites bible passages incorrectly but confidently is it sinning if the AI is sentient?

I don't think there are any sentient AIs but I feel like a lot of christians might so I am just curious how that one susses out.

Like.. what happens when one of these church approved AIs keeps spitting out incorrect but somewhat plausible 10 Commandments That Will Be Hot This Summer articles? Is this just god turning up the volume through AI or is it the devil's work?

lol

People act like the truth can be so confusing sometimes and yes it can be, but often the lies people try to tell themselves to make the universe more simple end up becoming far more exhausting to keep extending the logic of, even when you do it in tiny baby steps... or rather most especially when you do it in tiny baby steps...

What gets me about the 10 Commandments is that most of them aren't even represented in US or International law.

If they were, Donald would have already been stoned to death.

A lot of Christians would, too.
