I don’t know the state of things now, but a few days ago Iran had severed its internet due to cyberattacks related to the war.

The Iranian regime has essentially shut down the internet within the country, as recent events do not show their defence capabilities in a good light and they do not wish their citizens to share information. Meanwhile, Israel is thought to be engaging in a major cyber attack on Iranian internet infrastructure.
There is a popular feeling of support in Iran right now, a rally around the flag that even many of the women who were protesting against the government are supporting.
Locking down the internet to suppress protests, or to suppress news, is not what is happening. Indeed the more damage that is shown the more patriotic Iranians become.
