I do hope that people will be placing Trump "I did this" stickers on the gas pumps. Especially in red states and counties.

[-] scala@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Where can I get these stickers that support Dems. Or anyone that isn't republican?

[-] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

https://store.democrats.org/trump-did-that-sticker-5-pack/

I'd prefer something a little bit more to the left of Democrats, but anything is better then the Republicans.

Disclaimer: If someone has a better org to buy stickers from, share it. I haven't actually vetted this site yet.

Sometimes, I just give up trying to decide if he's even real. I have never seen him in in person, and the stuff he say is just too stupid.

[-] DeceasedPassenger@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago

Same, and just like this tweet. I genuinely can't be sure if it's real or not, at first sight.

My thoughts on his voters as well. Can anyone, not to mention SO MANY people be so stupid??

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 41 points 2 days ago

I have not experienced in my lifetime, nor have I ever read about in the annals of history, a more pathetic loser than this fucking traitor.

Can I show the gas station attendant this tweet?

[-] TheSlad@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 days ago

Why does he have to tweet about this? I though the president had dials and knobs on his desk to control oil and gas prices?

Hey look it’s the invisible hand of the market

MOES SOUTHWEST GRILL. EVERYONE IS WATCHING. YOU GET RID OF BELOVED CARNITAS AND YOU BRING IT BACK ONLY TO GET RID OF IT AGAIN. DON'T PLAY INTO THE ENEMIES HANDS. DON'T DO IT. BRING BACK PORK.

This right here is why I've always laughed at the concept of "energy independence" through domestic oil extraction. The US produces much more oil than it uses. The oil coming out of the straight of Hormuz is not coming to the US. However, oil is a global commodity and the price goes up or down for everyone.

[-] BakerBagel@midwest.social 3 points 2 days ago

No, but the gas you out in your car came from oil imported from Canada. The best way to ensure energy independence is installing solar and wind farms across the US, but the people that scream the loudest about oil prices are against that too

[-] JillyB@beehaw.org 2 points 2 days ago

Solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, even natural gas would all be independent from international conflicts. Obviously, if your goal is an energy transition, pivoting into fossil fuels is brain dead, but that seems like what we're doing.

[-] facelessbs@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

I am not 100% certain but the US imports unrefined oil and exports refined oil. While the US does produce a lot of unrefined oil it would like ti always bring in more so it can continue to make that sweet sweet profit of exporting the refined product.

[-] megopie@beehaw.org 10 points 3 days ago

someone finally told him about how much oil passes through Hormuz.
