Sometimes I swear I must have spacial blindness. I can check an area 7 times and not see the thing I'm looking for even though it's there.

There should be a small sliver saying "in my hand (I'm not aware of that)"

I had this issue for a while but about a decade ago I stumbled upon someone who said "every thing should have it's own home, and you put that thing where it lives" and it becomes somehow a lot easier.

Living with other people throws a spanner in the works but at least the thing is there much more often.

I missed two days of senior beach week because I was so afraid of losing my keys I put them in my shoe where I couldn't possibly have forgotten them.

It's amazing how long you can search for a ser of keys without ever needing to put your shoes on.

Because I have ADHD, I have to designate special places for everything to keep them from disappearing.

They still disappear anyway. I don't fucking get why.

I've started taking photos of wherever I've put something important away for "safety", because I always end up forgetting otherwise. I have a special folder in my gallery for this.
