While the DSA’s current priority is supporting Mamdani in the general election, it has also begun sketching out a post-election plan to provide outside support to Mamdani once he’s in office.

Very good. Plans must be made beforehand.

A politician and their supporters putting together a rational game plan to execute on their promises? How dare they demonstrate competence! /s

Ok on a more positive note, it makes me happy to read articles like this that seem to show some common sense and good planning by politicians running for office. I'd like to see more of it in the future.

I joined my local DSA chapter a few months ago and I'm so glad I did.

She hasn't failed.

She has galvanized an entire fucking movement, facing death threats the whole damn way.

It's also not a zero sum game, we need quality leaders at all levels-- mayors, directors, board members, senators, etc.

We need as many as we can get, not just the presidency.

AOC has been sheepdogging hard. That vote blue no matter who bullshit, refusing to condemn the Palestinian genocide for over a year, voting for that ADL "antisemitism" bill. Not ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater yet but it wouldn't be surprising if she goes all social imperialist all of a sudden.
