Misleading headline from SFGate. They're fancy restaurants that scan your social media to personalize your experience, not to exclude you for some opinion they dislike.

And I mean everyone, every single person that goes to one of these places and probably most of the staff too.

This is vapid and grotesque in every conceivable way.

I could never afford to eat at a place like this but after reading the article, it's kind of cute. They just try to personalize meals and experiences for each guest. The word vetting is used in the title but there is no mention of anyone being denied the ability to eat there or anything like that.

One example was that they saw the guest likes penguins on social media so they adopted a penguin (donated money to a penguin facility in exchange for an "adoption certificate") and bought a penguin plushie and gave them to the guest.
