As expected, Adams struck out at a campaign board hearing on Tuesday, with the board denying his matching funds request after again finding that his campaign is still failing to adequately respond to the agency’s requests for documentation explaining dozens of suspected illegal donations and unreported fundraisers.

This article is from last December?

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

No, it says JUL 16, 2025

How could it have been last December?

[-] EisFrei@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

The December date is part of the URL and above the article. Maybe you had the wrong URL in the clipboard?

This is what you linked:

Oh, yes, that's the link IN the quote which references the first time he was denied matching funds for shady donations. The quote says he was denied again (recently) because he still hasn't explain where all the shady money came from back then.

Lmfao this is incredible.

I hope Cuomo and Adams and their bankrollers waste so, so much of their money. I hope it ends up being a meaningful loss for them, throwing so much cash after a (hopefully) losing proposition.

Fake Democrats get out funded by real Democrat. Fake Democrats struggle to comprehend.

[-] roguetrick@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Cuomo stopped raising funds in May after maxing out the nearly $8 million primary spending cap.

Cuomo's fundraising goals won't include public matching (or public anything really thanks to citizens United).

Status Quo-mo, then

I would bet good money that when we're closer to November and one of them drops out we'll see a bunch of Republican money pouring into the campaign of whichever one is left. They want to split the Dem vote and install a Republican. Failing that, they prefer to work with an establishment Democrat than someone who can prove there's a better way.

The last thing we need are more corporate DNC democrats. Leave this guy alone, let us see how he does.
