42 minutes would be about the length of time before the episode ended on American TV.
So anyone watching it would wait until the end of the show before writing their first story.
The trick is to have five or six stories ready at any given time using PLACEHOLDER1(/2/3/...) for the names. Just a quick find/replace and PLACEHOLDER's your uncle.
Watch it on double speed that way you have 21 mins to watch and the 21 mins to write it out
