Can anyone tell me how I can bypass this also I am not going to use friends and family members face nor going to use game stuff like shown on internet as I don't own one Thanks for answering 🙂 EDIT - I am not from uk or any other country where face id system is implemented and this is account specific not country

Linkedin does not require this. Make sure whatever you are doing is actually linkedin and not some scam.

What is LinkedIn requiring of you exactly?

Years ago I uploaded an extremely low-res image of my face to LinkedIn and it’s never asked me for more.

It requires me to scan my face like centre , right and left side to enter in my account but first I need to scan a qr to verify

You’re not using the app are you?

Avoid the app at all costs. Use the web site. I can log in there with nothing but a username and password.

The stuff you’re describing sounds like it’s setting up a passkey and tying it to Windows Hello via a face scan.

None of that is needed, but even if you use passkeys (which you should), you don’t have to do a local face scan to unlock it; you can use a password or (better) a token such as a YubiKey.

In all these cases though, LinkedIn isn’t doing a face scan; that’s just your designated way to unlock your locally stored passkeys.

I am using firefox on gentoo Linux and my system does not support passkey . When I log in it showed me this page for id verification by the same company which is owned by linkdin but under different name . It shows a qr then I scan it on android and it shows that face capturing circle

Yeah; that’s passkeys in action. It’s your Android phone setting up the passkeys vault that’s doing the face capturing, not LinkedIn. LinkedIn is showing you the QR code as a means of using passkeys for verification.

That's not a passkey url and on android to setup passkey I need google lense but there it was a link to scan my face

What kind of verification do they ask for? Maybe there are youtube videos of games that could bypass it. If you are in the UK (or know a full postcode) there is: https://use-their-id.com/

I am not in uk , I just don't really use linkdin much but suddenly today I got this verification thingy where I first have to scan the QR on my android then verify myself to enter in account

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 1 points 4 days ago

Okay, but how does it want you to verify?

Can you get a cheap stocking style mask? I’m considering one of the old style ones like bank robbers used. I’ll get some fake eyebrows and pretend lips. 🤣🤣🤣

I am thinking of getting a mask of a famous politician 😏 also if they identify the famous politician that means they are not taking photos just to verify

Perhaps a kids styling doll head might work?

Are you sure? As this is getting to everyone regardless of country

[-] Ulrich@feddit.org 2 points 4 days ago

It's not getting to me. Have you tried a VPN?

[-] omniman@piefed.zip 2 points 4 days ago

No and it's account specific not like for uk or for specific country so using vpn will do nothing

Which accounts are being targeted?
