Outs her as what? I am assuming you mean queer of some kind, but it's low-key bigoted to assume (or make jokes) about how everyone who hates queer people is closeted. It's like saying that queer people are responsible for our own oppression since the people who hate us are secretly just us.

iirc that's taking a 90s or early 00s study of highschool kids and bullying where the homophobic bullies were more likely to themselves be gay and extrapolating it to society. and i don't even know if the study was credible or even real or if somebody got clever and was like

galaxy-brain ah-ha! if i tell the kids bullying others for being gay will make everyone think they are gay they'll stop bullying the gay kids
