OMG! That's exactly the way I feel. Stranger than Fiction is a masterpiece.
I don't care for Will Ferrell but I don't hate him as a person and that's what I thought you meant.
I can't believe you used this example. Amazing!!!

Chris Pratt, I never got why he’s famous. I was never a fan anything he did he just seemed like a one trick pony. (Be the dumb/funny chubby guy) then he did Guardians of the Galaxy and yes I did enjoy it but that’s about it. And with him being casted in almost everything lately I’m done with him.
Same. Aside from parks and rec and guardian films, pretty much avoid his trash. He's also a super judgemental religious nut.
Yes I’ve heard that he is a religious nut job and a dick to fans too. Give it time and he will be the next Kevin Sorbo.
Chris Pratt, I never got why he’s famous.
Because he was amazing in Parks and Rec.
After that though, as studios do they pushed and pushed and pushed him into everything and his acting skills don't hold up, so the fatigue and annoyance sets in.
Mark Wahlberg. Racist meathead.
Exception: The Departed
Seeing Matthew Broderick in anything still ruins the entire show for me after hearing about how he killed 2 women in Ireland and just got away with it.
I hate him too except in the Lego movie. The serious turn at the end was kind of refreshing for him. I'll try Stranger That Fiction and see if I like it, since a fellow Will Farrell hater says it's good.
Additionally, I kind of hated Nicholas Cage until I saw The Color Out of Space which prompted me to actually learn a little more about him and figure out what he's even doing. Turns out I was mistaken, not just about him but kind of about film
I recently got to convince a person of same by showing them Dream Scenario followed by Renfield.
Reba McEntire. I just don't like her folksy shtick
Marky Mark, no exceptions.
I came here to say Will Ferrell with the same exception, then read your post.
Stranger Than Fiction shows Will Ferrell is perfectly capable of being a good actor playing interesting roles, but chooses to just play low effort trash.
Joaquin Phoenix, no exceptions. And it's totally not fair. He's a gifted actor, and I can't stand him for some reason.
Shia Labeouf. Generally I dislike him as an actor and almost everything he's been in.
But he was great in lawless which is one of my favorite movies.
Hollywood is starting to make me dislike Pedro Pascal only because he's in EVERY DAMN THING.
I actually like the guy, but overexposure is a thing. And he could stand to just chill for a little while.
The first one that comes to mind is Jared Leto. Can't stand him in any role but I will tolerate him in Requiem for a Dream. And even then I've only seen that movie once which is more than enough.
I don't like him because he is the dictionary definition of a method actor. Robert Pattinson was too polite but got close,
“I always say about people who do method acting, you only ever see people do the method when they’re playing an a–holes. You never see someone being lovely to everyone while they’re really deep in character.”
Gal Gadot. Though it would be a stretch to call her an actress. Even the most untalented coat stand can act better than her.
Unpopular opinion but Harrison Ford is a terrible actor. He's literally just a guy that shows up on set and reads some lines. Zero range, zero character.
Hmmm. Yeah. I would say most of his characters feel the same. But I love Indiana Jones
There are a lot named here who I'm unfamiliar with, and a few who are terrible humans but who I'm clueless about as actors. I don't think I've ever seen any Tom Cruise movies, but OMG:
This will be an unpopular opinion but I cannot stand Nic Cage. He's unwatchable to me. His mannerisms, his delivery, everything about him tweaks me the wrong way.
I don't know sometimes his acting is so bad it rounds the bend to being completely hilarious, such as in Face/Off.
Or Con Air.
The high point of his career as far as I'm concerned is "why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box."
Brian Cox, the isn't-science-and-astronomy-cool guy.
I love his works, cant get enough of the TV he puts out, always look forward to the next one, but there's just something about him that makes me want to hook him in the jaw. I cant figure out what my problem with him is, but its real.
