For example, I don't like Will Ferrell in his typical roles. Oh they just drive me batty.

But. I do love Stranger Than Fiction. It's such a cozy movie.

Pretty tired of seeing Chris Pratt's face everywhere. His early career was great, but I find him obnoxious these days

[-] scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech 12 points 3 months ago

Perfect for parks and rec and guardians 1. Everything since then has just been typical Hollywood overuse. "People like him let's put him in everything!"

I don't care for "Home Alone 2" star Donald Trump

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 months ago

A bit player at best.

In his latest role he's basically Walmart Hitler

Steven Seagal, he’s complete garbage on every level. He can’t act, he can’t run, he’s a sex trafficker and rapist, and his whole career was started with a bet by producers to make the most incapable and unlikable person famous.

Also, aikido, he can’t even do a stupid useless fake “martial art” invented to sell to suburbanite children properly.

[-] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 months ago

Did you not see that demonstration where he effortlessly destroys an entire dojo of people by wrist-flipping them one at a time without moving his hands more than 20cm?

Thats raw skill.

[-] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

That’s a good point, most of them didn’t even come in contact with him before they went flying through the air. Probably a chakra thing, just using raw spirit energy like Naruto.

[-] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 13 points 3 months ago

Used to be different but Jack Black needs to go away. Every time I see him in something its the same character over and over, pudgy loser that plays air guitar and scats at every opportunity cause he's all quirky like that.

[-] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Him and Pratt need to go away for a while

Jared Leto. All his best roles are the ones that could have been better, if they were played by someone else.

[-] GrayBackgroundMusic@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 months ago

I hate him, too, but he was good in Blade Runner 2049. I mean, the role should have come naturally since he was playing a narcissistic sociopath.

Chris Pratt's only good films were the Guardians of the Galaxy fims and the Lego Movie and his face wasn't even in one of those.

Mark Wahlberg is a racist that once tried to beat a Vietnamese person to death while shouting "I hate the Vietnamese" and other racist shit in the past.

Kevin Spacey. Because the people that accuse him of raping them keep committing suicide right before trial. And then he released that creepy video of himself sitting in front of a fireplace talking about "killing them with kindness". I've refused to watch anything with him in it since I found out.

[-] cuboc@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Will Smith and his one facial expression.

[-] KuroiKaze@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who just absolutely can't stand him in movies or just in general. It has been pretty good watching his entire life burn to the ground.

Welcome to the Willenium, bitch

[-] stoy@lemmy.zip 9 points 3 months ago

Tom Cruise - but damn, his performance in Tropic Thunder is a masterclass.

The first time I saw the film, I didn't even recognize that he was in it.

Tom Cruise. No exceptions. Even when I don't realize it's him in a role (which was basically limited to his role in Tropic Thunder), his performances still irritate me.

[-] Quazatron@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

I agree, but I'll watch Edge of Tomorrow or Oblivion if they're on.

[-] Albbi@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 months ago

Edge of Tomorrow is just Tom Cruise getting killed over and over again. It's great for people who hate Tom Cruise!

[-] misterdoctor@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Oblivion is so underrated. I feel like I never see people talking about it but it’s a legitimately solid sci-fi movie with an amazing score.

Scar Jo. She's just not a good actor. Same with Gal Gadot. Also Jack Black and Seth Rogen and the Rock, they don't act - they're just themselves in every movie.

[-] IphtashuFitz@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

Aside from one or two movies like Tropic Thunder, I feel like Tom Cruise is largely the same way. His movies have largely become a playground for him to fill his Adrenalin lust with crazier and crazier stunts.

Jamie Foxx and his associates were at an adjacent table at at restaurant in LA years ago. He was a total cunt to wait staff. Pure asshole to his core. Restaurant comped our meal because he ruined the evening for everyone.

[-] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

That’s fucking disappointing to know.

[-] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

Steven Segal

[-] RexWrexWrecks@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

Anthony Mackie.

He has a face that is simultaneously smug and dumbstruck. He ruined Altered Carbon, he was the weakest part of the Falcon & Einyer Soldier series, and he just screams “Overrated” to me.

But he was ok in 8 Mile.

[-] sartalon@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Totally agree. Going from Joel Kinnaman to Anthony Mackie was a huge let down.

Ya know I'm a Star Trek fan from way back, but William Shatner makes me cringe all the time these days.

[-] npdean@lemmy.today 5 points 3 months ago

Amber Heard. I used to find her attractive and her acting is decent. Then, the whole court case fiasco happened and I just can’t tolerate her anymore. I haven't watched Aquaman because of her.

There are no exceptions.

Chris Pratt, I never got why he’s famous. I was never a fan anything he did he just seemed like a one trick pony. (Be the dumb/funny chubby guy) then he did Guardians of the Galaxy and yes I did enjoy it but that’s about it. And with him being casted in almost everything lately I’m done with him.

[-] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Same. Aside from parks and rec and guardian films, pretty much avoid his trash. He's also a super judgemental religious nut.

[-] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Yes I’ve heard that he is a religious nut job and a dick to fans too. Give it time and he will be the next Kevin Sorbo.
