Note how convenient it is that no electricity still means no journalists can contact the outside world.

Nor run the desalination plants or pumps, which provide the potable water. The US gets to have it's PR cake and eat it.

Don't mistake this for any kind of humanitarian concession, this is merely yet another step toward the full ethnic cleansing they want to achieve. By making the south of Gaza slightly less unliveable than the north they intend to push all civilians into the south, and when that is done they will simply do the same to the south as they did to the north. If they get away with ethnic cleansing in one half of Gaza they believe they will get away with it in the other half too because they will have set a precedent.

Palestinians say Israel’s announcement of renewing water supply to southern Gaza is a “publicity stunt” as many water pipes were damaged in the Israeli shelling. Also, without electricity, water pumps to fill the tanks are not working, they add.An estimated one million Gazans have been displaced in the first seven days of conflict with Israel, according to the United Nations agency supporting Palestinian refugees, as aid groups said the situation in the besieged enclave is “catastrophic”.

Israel pulled out the knife in Palestine's back by 0.001 inches.

I won't say it is nothing, but it is the tiniest of breadcrumbs. Without electricity to use the water, it isn't even that really.

The issue is that now Israel will just clap their hands and go "Look, we did it, see we are the good guys!" and everyone will eat it up. It is 100% a PR stunt that will probably work for a lot of people. "Oh, the water is back on? Great, I can stop caring about Palestine for the next few years again".

While I don’t mind seeing the neocolony toss a few breadcrumbs to the Palestinians (and it does lighten my anxiety somewhat), I’m not impressed either.

It's not even bread crumbs. They still don't have power, so they can't actually do anything with the water. It's merely a glittery unicorn fart of a gesture.

This doesn't mean anything if they're still going ahead with genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Zionist are truly scum. Fascist like them deserve to face the wall.
