In late September, the 29th annual International Seminar "PARTIES AND THE NEW SOCIETY," organized by the Mexican Labor Party, took place in Mexico. This year, representatives of communist and leftist parties from over 100 countries on all continents attended the seminar. The main topics of discussion were globalization, anti-fascist activities, a multipolar world, and socialist movements.
Russia and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation were represented at this prestigious forum of global left-wing forces by Alexei Leskin, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and First Secretary of the Samara Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. His speech, delivered on the first day of the seminar, raised the important issue of uniting progressive forces in the fight against global fascism. Leskin noted that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation was one of the first in Russia to wage the fight against the "brown plague." In 2023, the First International Anti-Fascist Forum was held in Minsk together with the Communist Party of Belarus. The Forum's participants, representatives of communist parties from 50 countries, adopted a Memorandum for the unification of the peoples of the world, "Protect Humanity from Fascism!" And in April of this year, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation held the Second International Anti-Fascist Forum in Moscow, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. It was attended by 164 delegations – representatives of communist, workers', and left-wing parties and organizations from 91 countries. The Forum delegates concluded that today, the most important task for all right-thinking forces is to stop neo-Nazism, punish rapists and murderers, and put imperialists in their place. In the 21st century, humanity once again faces a fateful choice: socialism or barbarism. Only a decisive turn toward humanism, social responsibility, justice, and, ultimately, socialism, can improve the situation.
A. Leskin thanked Mexico for its wise position regarding Russia – Mexico does not join anti-Russian sanctions and continues to develop constructive cooperation with us.
Concluding his speech, the Russian communist said: "I am confident that everyone present here, representatives of various parties, are people with an active civic position! Together, we must intensify our principled struggle and unity of action. The ashes of those who perished in the fight against Nazism knock on the heart of every honest person. They call us to unite in the battle to prevent further crimes of imperialism, for a happy future for children around the world."
