Ive only seen one other time, a clout chasing influencer bought so he can keep up 'the jones" of an asian influencers who went maga over the pandemic, everyone so clowning on him in the youtube videos.
if you cant even afford to Lease a new one, one shouldnt buy a Used car.
DRM in cars makes me want to stick to a car-free life even more.
This is a rather petty comment but I still remember reddit repliers ganging up on me a long time ago for joking about this kind of thing happening in the future. I was saying people would probably have to jailbreak their car to get around shit like this.
In hindsight it's all so predictable now. If it angers the average herd of tech bros then it's definitely a bad idea and they're probably going to do it anyways.
People focus too much on if they would and too little on if they could. Better they can't, than to trust they won't.
This isn't a Tesla problem:

Tesla said it's a safety issue connecting a damaged vehicle to the powerful superchargers.
The vehicle was deemed totaled and sold to him as a normal used vehicle. I want to know what the title says, salvage or no? Not sure where he should direct his ire or legal firepower, if he has any.

Nope, that's still a Tesla problem. They're mumbling about safety as an excuse to avoid sending electricity down a plug. It's not trivial... but it's not exactly cryptic.
Carfax is not the authority on title status. They only get what’s reported to them.
Spend a few bucks and do a title search with the state.
The owners said Illinois Secretary of State Police investigated and confirmed it has a clean title, and has never had a salvaged title.
Sounds like the issue is that his car was previously damaged. Tesla knows about that and for liability reasons doesn't want him supercharging.
I'm sure someone is concerned of the possibility of his car bursting into flames during charging because of physical cell damage.
That is... Not a bad thing to be concerned about.
