honestly im excited for it, with low expectations. just like the first simpsons movie which imo was really good, despite the tv episodes at the time being terrible

Apparently there is still a big market for Simpsons watchers. I don't know who they are or why they don't watch something else. Only person I know who "watches" modern Simpsons just gets high and passes out on the couch while it is playing in the background, so maybe that's their target audience for this movie?
