I like to seal it by twisting the end and setting it upside down so the weight holds it shut and then forgetting when I grab it the next time so everything spills out

[-] annoyed_onion@lemmy.world 30 points 19 hours ago

This is the way. Obviously you have to eat the spillage to avoid food waste.

[-] makyo@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago

It was unavoidable

[-] Pissmidget@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago

A fellow person of culture!

[-] kibiz0r@midwest.social 22 points 18 hours ago

Nah, you gotta twist it. Everyone knows that air can’t travel in a spiral.

[-] SalamenceFury@lemmy.world 18 points 19 hours ago

That doesn't seem very sealed? At least with my cookie packages I twist the loose end.

  1. Works

  2. Aint gonna be around long enough to go stale

These are McVities Ginger Nuts, you could leave the end open for a week in the Amazon rainforest and they'd still be firm enough to shatter your incisors.

Throwing one of these too hard at your mate would count as a war crime under the Geneva convention.

I'd still demolish a packet of them with my tea from my Sports Direct™ mug.

The blessed XL mug

I do a little twist, and then push it against the wall.

I have 50 bag clips and have no idea where they all went?
...Maybe the washing machine is eating them like the 2nd sock of every pair🤷‍♂️

[-] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 17 hours ago

They’re almost as bad as guitar picks

[-] BillibusMaximus@sh.itjust.works 4 points 18 hours ago

Maybe the underwear gnomes are using the bag clips to hang the missing socks to dry.

Is this a picture from my house?

I've done this with this exact brand of ginger nut biscuits.

[-] nexguy@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

Some people seal their package with a little tiny wire or a tiny piece of plastic. I do like OP. I seal my bags with the whole house.

[-] dylanmorgan@slrpnk.net 1 points 16 hours ago

Hey, it’s my people!

[-] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

This must be a British thing because the only time I have ever seen this done is in Southeast Asian countries that used to be colonies.
