Kamala Harris says she is not done with politics and strongly suggested that she is considering another bid for president in a new interview.

In an interview scheduled to air on the BBC on Sunday morning, Harris says that she would “possibly” be the next president, making the clearest suggestion to date that she will make another run for the White House in 2028 despite lagging far behind in the polls.

Harris insisted that she had not yet made a decision, but that she was confident that there will eventually be a woman in the White House and her political career is not over.

Geneva_Convenience is part of an Establishment Democrat smear campaign against the first real progressive my state has seen. I was banned for “trolling” in my attempts to highlight and correct his deliberate disinformation. Take everything you read by this user with a heavy grain of salt, and in relation to Graham Platner in particular, DM me at JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca for a link to Grahams entire reddit archive, not just this tankie’s cherry picked items chosen deliberately to cast Graham in a bad light.

This would be the most hilarious thing ever.

[-] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 days ago

I would love to see her lose again.

Can't wait for the usual pleas at protests in 2 years: "Please bro, just vote blue one more time, it'll work this time bro, Lenin would vote democrat! We gotta vote against fascism! Republicans would be worse bro! Please! Don't be an ultra-leftist!"

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 29 points 5 days ago

Jesus fucking Christ I hope not.

The Dems need to stop making a single asshole's ego the whole of their party's focus.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 27 points 5 days ago

Can't wait to see all the centrists who are like "we can't run AOC! A woman can't win and we're totally not just making excuses to shut out a progressive" suddenly decide that a woman can win as long as she supports genocide hard enough.

[-] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 5 days ago

Aren't they just going to use that reasoning to make sure Gavin is the only option? 😭

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago

100%

It's going to happen, and people will wonder why the guy running the state where working full-time gets you a shoebox, roach-infested apartment (if you're lucky) or a tent on the street (if you're unlucky) somehow just couldn't beat the fascist-in-waiting.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Yeah, but that's before they had the ability to lose with harris again.

[-] skeezix@lemmy.world 18 points 5 days ago

The DNC got wind that AOC might run. They were like “fuck that we need to get ready to shut that shit down.” So Harris must have been nudged to make a statement.

Remember: the democratic establishment wants someone slightly more electable than Hilary and equally unlikely to make any meaningful progressive changes.

While the republicans want to actively wreck society, the democrats want to just go back to the un-newsworthy background grift where the news can get back to reporting on cloned sheep and panda swaps.

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 12 points 5 days ago

Why would they want someone electable? Then they'd have to govern i.e. make people mad by breaking all their campaign promises. It's far better to lose and then collect donations from people scared about the fascist power grab.

its OK, she came in last in the primaries when she ran

[-] altkey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 4 days ago

Kamala Harness.

[-] DancingBear@midwest.social 12 points 5 days ago

I’d support a woman presidential candidate, but I prefer candidates with actual policies that have personality. I guess taking corporate and aipac donations is a policy on some level.

[-] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I mean she certainly do have both policy and personality, but the policy is genocide and personlity is a cop and ghoul.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

but I prefer candidates with actual policies that have personality

Exactly. Policy and authenticity are what matters, and Harris lacked in both.

[-] njm1314@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago

She's just trying to get attention for her book. Even she's not dumb enough to think she could run for president again.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 12 points 4 days ago

She wouldn't have gotten to run the first time in the Dems had run a primary.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

But then they might have had a nominee that didn't support genocide.

[-] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

The book usually signifies/supports the presidential run. It's how they do. It's the formula.

[-] urata@lemmy.world 9 points 5 days ago

I don't give a shit. Push a real candidate.

[-] RedSnt@feddit.dk 7 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

This is just as shocking as if Hillary Clinton said she'd run again. Whatever DNC wants, they get. As long as it's not a candidate that could threaten the ratchet effect, meaning banning anyone left of the center which is ever moving right. So no AOC, no Bernie and no Mamdani.

[-] ScoffingLizard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 days ago

AOC could run on an independent ticket. Fuck dems. She could pull it off. She IS the leader of that party for those of us who are not rich assholes.

[-] lemmyseizethemeans@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 5 days ago

It's HER turn. Again. [Tropical thunder narrators voice: here we go. Again.]

[-] sturmblast@lemmy.world 0 points 3 days ago

That's what primaries are for.. so VOTE.

[-] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 days ago

What primary hahaha
