As you know, GrapheneOS is a privacy‑ and security‑focused, independent Android‑based distribution for smartphones. With the mobile market dominated by just two major advertising giants—Apple increasingly joining the ranks—we urgently need genuine alternatives. GrapheneOS stands out as the sole platform that lets users enjoy modern features without compromising their freedom, privacy and security.

Please consider supporting the GrapheneOS project in this year’s Proton fundraiser.

I put in one for GrapheneOS and another for Servo the browser engine. Not sure which is more important.

I nominated GrapheneOS and also Proton themselves to finally have resources to work on their Linux clients.

I also nominated Accrescent, but Servo is also a great idea.

PostmarketOS and GrapheneOS are the way to go. The world deserve a better mobilephone OS.

Dont you think that an android based device is doomed to failure?

Backed by google, even if open source today google can make the choices, for example hiding some part of the dev tree until release or restricting sideloading... I think that try to fight against google for an OS they try to rotten is not really valuable

What's the alternative? Linux on phones is basically dead besides a few hobby projects that will never have enough of a following to be a serious contender to the duopoly

FSF and Linux phone maybe.

But you're right for now there's no real alternative but even if it shouldn't mean that android is the way to go and that we should put our effort in
