Elimination of CEOs would Be Good for Society

[-] Snowpix@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago

Someone should commit war crimes against the Palantir CEO and all its investors, since he thinks it's totally okay to do so.

[-] SpicyTaint@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

So it would be constitutional to drag him out into the street and execute him?

[-] Zoomboingding@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I don't think it's a war crime unless you hold some sort of public office

[-] Tigeroovy@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

So it’s just a good idea then.

[-] SiblingNoah@piefed.social 1 points 1 week ago

So we just need to run for school board first?

[-] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

This would also improve voter turnout.

[-] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago

Killing the palantir CEO would be good for business too, but there is a reason why we don't do certain things, like these, for example...

[-] falseWhite@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I say we should make it constitutional to hang billionaires.

Actually, we should hang them first and then change the constitution.

[-] ideonek@piefed.social 3 points 1 week ago

Company is named: "Communication Device That Was Abused for Spying, Control and Manipulation" guys... Doesn't it raise any red flags?

[-] nickiwest@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

In the 21st century, corporations feel emboldened to be transparently evil, and everyone just seems to accept it.

At this point, it feels like there's very little that individual consumers, or even organized groups of consumers, can do. Corporations and governments are the real customers of these megacorps, and their spending power is such that ours literally doesn't matter.

If we could somehow go off-grid en masse and stop operating within the system, that could have an impact. But that's not a realistic plan for the majority of people who are struggling just to care for themselves and their families. The kind of community that would require has been decimated ... by the system.

Alex Karp is a criminal who got rich on government handouts.

[-] UncleGrandPa@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

As if making money on the deaths of children could ever be a. Good Thing

[-] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

It makes sense if you're a soulless ghoul who only cares about having as much money as possible

[-] DandomRude@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

The connection to Israel is becoming increasingly obvious. Ehud Barak, the former Israeli prime minister, was also involved in setting up this fascist enterprise - with the kind assistance of Jeffrey Epstein!

Many thanks also to the politicians here in Germany who first signed a completely illegal contract with these bastards and then specifically amended the police law to undermine the constitutional rights of citizens after the fact.

It really is a terrible world we live in, because no one is stopping the most unscrupulous of all people. Well, this is what the end stage of the free market economy looks like.

[-] ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 1 points 1 week ago

It is incredible how zionists have said 'hey you know that bullshit conspiracy that we run everything? Wouldn't it be cool if we added some truth to it? Also say that we represent all Jews when we do it for effect!'

We are at a time when either we will break from it, or be doomed to another 1000 years of hell.

[-] DandomRude@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Yes, Israeli Zionists have been playing the anti-Semitism card for decades. It is a perfidious, self-reinforcing strategy: the more completely legitimate criticism of Israel's inhumane actions is silenced with this argument, the more it feeds actual anti-Semitism.

This is supported by the Mossad's skillful intelligence work, which obviously gathered a lot of dirt on politicians around the world - there is simply no other explanation for how a small, rather insignificant state like Israel has gotten away with the most heinous atrocities for decades.

This is mainly attributable to the US, but also to Germany, my home country, where the anti-Semitism card has an even stronger effect due to its terrible past. As a German citizen with an awareness of history, it is all the more repulsive for me to see how obvious war criminals shamelessly use the Holocaust in order to commit genocide themselves.

Yet it is quite simple: Israel is not Judaism. It is a criminal but sovereign state that commits genocide. This has nothing to do with religion, but exclusively with the inhuman ruthlessness of their criminal regime.

And yes, this is also supported by the population, just as it was in the Third Reich, since Israel is also a deeply authoritarian state, but these are not "the Jews", but the citizens of a State, the citizens of Israel, a country that commits the most terrible war crimes and tries to justify them by referring to history - it is a scandal that this still works, it is a crime against their own ancestors and has absolutely nothing to do with anti-Semitism; except that it very deliberately promotes anti-Semitism in itself in order to portray Israel's actions as the views of "the Jews" - which is, of course, not at all the case.

They have even introduced absurd concepts such as the "self-hating Jew" to prevent Jews from insisting that they want nothing to do with the deeply racist, inhumane Zionism of Israel.

It couldn't be more unscrupulous.

These people are truly the scum of the earth - and by "these people", I don't mean a religious group, as these people would like to portray it, but Netanyahu, the Israeli government, and all their henchmen.

[-] popekingjoe@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Holy fucking shit these people aren't human.

[-] jof@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Wasn't there a study showing a large correlation between CEOs actually being psychopaths? Supposedly that's the trait that makes them hyper successful since they only care about themselves?

[-] 1984@lemmy.today 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Our systems reward that. Capitalism is about becoming the winner and taking more than everyone else, thats how companies grow - they kill weaker companies.

We have essentially created a system that works like the animal world, except animals also only kill what they need to survive, so we are worse.

All this intelligence and this is what we do with it. :)

I often think of what humanity could achieve if the old consciousness would disappear and we worked together to create a society of happiness rather than capitalism.

It would be a dream planet. We have everything we need to do that. Everything.

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Except we don’t have this dog eat dog capitalism you’re talking about. We have communism for the rich because these big companies aren’t allowed to fail and are taking unlimited subsidies from us to destroy us. If they do start to fail the government gives them unlimited bail out money without any provisions against them giving the money to themselves . If by some freak chance a company does fail or fails because the shareholder class grifted all the wealth out of a company the CEO’s get huge handouts because the wealthy aren’t allowed to fail. Even failing is winning when everything is a grift paid for by the working people. The system you described is what workers have cut throat capitalism. If you lose you literally die.

[-] jof@lemmy.world -1 points 1 week ago

I wouldn't argue capitalism is bad. It encourages competition and innovation. People who have good novel ideas and work hard, deserve to reap the fruit of their labor. I think the bad of it comes from exploitation.

He's a drug addict that regularly uses disassociatives (ketamine). It simultaneously makes him feel more powerful and makes him a giant target for manipulation like Musk.

Business is apparently the end-all be-all to the meaning of life to some people. Make number go brrrrrrrrrr fuck those kids.

The human race isn't really viable anymore.

[-] florge@feddit.uk 1 points 1 week ago

If Democrats, my former party or current party, or however you want to look at it, ran someone who agreed with me, even in private, they would win. So, you know, maybe you should stop winning in the faculty lounge and start winning

Fuck me

[-] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

This is like an admission to election fraud. I don't think they did the 2024 elections in favor of Trump (Musk did manipulate his platform enough to sway the chances into Trump's favor, so is Kamala trying to appeal to "moderate conservatives"), but wouldn't surprise me if it was their "security experts".

[-] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 week ago

so is Kamala trying to appeal to "moderate conservatives"

That's just called campaigning. Not the same thing as Musk's massive propaganda machine and million dollar offers.

Well, that's the thing with these people. They're against the constitution in any and all regards. That's why they want to abolish free speech, due process, the congress... And it's more than that. They want violence and expedite the apocalypse. That's why they escalate violence, send masked men to spread terror on the streets. Do more illegal stuff every day than any legal system can cope with. The goal is doomsday and to make the system collapse. Motivation for that is different between the current politicians, billionaires, people full of hate and plain evil people... But the constitution is the first and obvious thing which has to go - for all of them. And currently there's a broad coalition of powerful and rich people manifesting it for the USA.

[-] manxu@piefed.social 1 points 1 week ago

As usual, he who suggested it should be the first test subject.

[-] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

I'm tired of everything being reduced to a token that may or may not have value. "Fireman saves lives!" not "Fireman saves lives, but at a cost of 1.3 million dollars!". WTF?

[-] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 week ago

I mean. It was for the nazis and yes slaves are "good for buissness" doesnt mean its the right thing though!

[-] TheBat@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Alex Karp dying while strangulating Peter Thiel would be good for the planet.

[-] D_C@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

If palantir thinks it's a good idea then that's how a sane person knows it's a bad idea.

[-] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

[-] thespcicifcocean@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Facestab by a sword-wielding transwoman would be Middle-Earth level epic.

[-] desertdruid@lemmy.blahaj.zone -1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Karp quoted a political scientist to say that the “rise of the West was not made possible ‘by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion… but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence.'”

Literal nazi ideology
