President Donald Trump has taken an extraordinary step in his efforts to turn his birthday into a national celebration, with the National Park Service revealing that on June 14, his birthday, admission to national parks will be free for U.S. citizens.

In addition, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth have been removed from the schedule of free park admission days, despite both being federally recognized holidays.

His deathday will be a global holiday.

[-] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 week ago

You mean the future global No Kings Day?

[-] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

We should purge his name from every building and record.

[-] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago

I'm not a fan of that wiping out history stuff. Just make it synonymous with being a shitcunt.

like, Hitler is known. if Hitler weren't known, it's not like we wouldn't have fartsmears like Nick Fuentes around. they'd still be here.

[-] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I’m not sure. They don’t show streakers at sporting events and withhold the names of mass murderers to discourage them from seeking glory.

Like the phrase “you can’t make an anti-war movie” everything that carves assholes’ names in stone encourages future assholes.

[-] P1nkman@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Trump is the new Quisling.

[-] Cosmonauticus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I'd say turning a public toilet into a Trump monument would be a good iea

[-] habitualcynic@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Already got my drinks and party hat

[-] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 25 points 1 week ago

Instead it will be his death day that will be globally celebrated.

[-] ironhydroxide@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 week ago

I will personally celebrate with the most expensive whiskey I can find on this day.

[-] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

I'm trying to drink less but yeah I should go get a good bottle just to celebrate the deaths of bad people

[-] cmbabul@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Bro I am getting fucked up in the street

Most expensive is usually a bad decision. The most expensive ones been aged long is, and eventually a lot of the character goes away and it starts to taste more woody.

I go with whatever the f*** tastes the best.

his birthday isn't and won't be, but the day he dies will be celebrated for generations

Reminds me of, “A man in Moscow goes up to a newsstand and buys a newspaper… He then glances at the front page, then turns aside and tosses the whole newspaper straight into the trash. Next day, he turns up, and does the same thing. Buys it, glances at the front page, throws it in the trash. Next day, same thing. The newsstand worker is increasingly puzzled, but doesn't say anything. But eventually, after a couple of weeks of this, he can't take it. "I'm sorry, friend, but I must ask: why do you buy the paper every day and then just look at the front page and throw it out?" "Oh, I'm just checking for something." "OK, but: what are you checking for?" "I'm checking for a particular obituary." "But sir, you don't even open the newspaper! The obituaries aren't even on the front page!" "Oh, believe me, the one I'm waiting for will be."

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

yeah, the obituary i'm waiting for will have people dancing in the street

[-] finitebanjo@piefed.world 12 points 1 week ago

Good, it will be a great day to Protest on.

Also, gorsh, I wonder what Juneteenth and MLK Jr. day have in common that Republicans and only Republicans dislike so much? /s

Also, gorsh, I wonder what Juneteenth and MLK Jr. day have in common that Republicans and only Republicans dislike so much?

I find it simply hilarious that, even still, now that their mask has been completely removed, you still have conservatives and Republicans trying that age-old chestnut about how it is really the Democrats that are the racists, because Lincoln was a Republican, and because of the Dixiecrats. And trying to yadda yadda something about Robert Byrd, etc.

All while they go apoplectic about "woke", DEI, CRT and "political correctness", etc...

Of course, entirely ignoring everything that had happened in more recent times, like the Southern Strategy, and the Civil Rights movement, etc...there was some Republican idiot on the DP comment section that even kept rejecting the Southern Strategy as fake news for some contrived reason that only made sense in his head.

It was always so goddamned pathetic, just like their attempt to tie socialism to Nazis merely because of the label, even if it's easy to point out the fact that the Nazis targeted unions, Communists and socialists.

But the fact that they are still trying this nonsense is beyond pathetic.

[-] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 7 points 1 week ago

And yet we still have "centrists" who somehow can't tell the difference.

[-] mika_mika@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

People who just have it comfortably, who do not dare rock the boat.

[-] zbyte64@awful.systems 10 points 1 week ago

Classic abuser move. Take away two free days and then give us back one and makes sure we know it's from him cuz he put his name all over it.

[-] Bakkoda@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Fuck a child day? Rape someone day? Steal from children's charity Day?

[-] Asfalttikyntaja@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 week ago

Grab them by the pussy day?

[-] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Dear Leader Day. With bigly parades and mandatory attendance.

[-] switcheroo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Gross. Fuck off fascist. No one wants to celebrate the day your mom shat you out.

We'll celebrate the day you last draw breath though! Gonna get me some nice booze. None of that cheap stuff.

[-] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

This reminds me that many history-related Wikipedia articles like this one don't have an English version yet. Might be a nice project in anticipation of Trump's b-day.

[-] Furbag@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

I'll celebrate the day by burning the American flag and posting online about how much I hate Trump, because I still have the freedom to do both of those things no matter what this sack of shit wants.

[-] Digit@lemmy.wtf 4 points 1 week ago

Anyone still in doubt about Donald Trump being a narcissist?

[-] glitch1985@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago
[-] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

Don’t forget pedophile. And rapist.

[-] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 3 points 1 week ago

I can see his obituary date being celebrated, if he is forcibly turned into manure for the tree.

[-] santa@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Weirdos do weird things.

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Everyone should stock up on crowbars so that the moment this fetid sack of shit is no longer in office they can go fall-of-the-Berlin-wall and forcefully remove his name from everything it has been stuck on.

[-] DylanMc6@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 week ago

jhkk sqtlo.

[-] CubitOom@infosec.pub 2 points 1 week ago

There will be one trump anniversary I'll celebrate, and it hasn't happened yet.

[-] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

when he shits his pants on live TV?

[-] dellish@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

When he dies in his sleep during a cabinet meeting?

[-] BassTurd@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I was just discussing the event the other day, and said when it happens I will buy a flag pole, an American flag, and raise it to full staff. It will be up as long as the half staff order is active, then I will take it down and sell it or trash it. There will be zero ambiguity in my actions.

[-] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Never ask when the zone is fully flooded. Trump will tell you by not performing some batshit insane dumbfuckery. Until then, assume he still wants you distracted from the fact that he fucks kids.

[-] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago

Send him a bag of feces.

Not for this date, just do it.

[-] Mad__vegan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

How can you tell if someone is a racist narcissist...
