Wesley learned how, he's a wizard.
Sisko has a magical bloodline, he's a sorcerer.
Wesley learned how, he's a wizard.
Sisko has a magical bloodline, he's a sorcerer.
Now if you want a warlock, Dukat is your choice.
Can someone quick ELI5 the differences between these?
Warlocks have a patron like a demon or other powerful fae being that give them magical abilities.
Sorcerers are born with magical abilities, something in their ancestry gave it to them like a dragon or something.
Wizards have to learn magic. They read a bunch of books and use those smarts to cast spells.
Wesley is such a weird damn story. Goes off with the traveler becomes like a God and then in that one deleted scene from one of the TNG movies he's at the wedding for Riker and Troi and he's clearly in a starfleet uniform and then in Picard Season 3 he just....doesn't exist anymore? the ONE person Beverly could ask for help who has the power to protect her new son would have been her previous son.
At this point I just don't even think Wes is canon anymore and his existence in TNG was some sort of collective hallucination among the crew.
Wesley played a major role in Prodigy S2. He’s cannon. I know you’re likely joking about if he is or not, but Prodigy is a lot better than it’s given credit for imo
In Nemesis, he was just slumming it and modified everyone’s memories so they didn’t remember all the demigod shit.
Then one day he accidentally wished he had never been born. Poof!
You're right, I'm really confused by the treatment of Wesley in Picard. Like he weirdly, inexplicably shows up at the tail end of season 2, and doesn't interact with Picard. Then in season 3, when it would have made a lot of sense for him to come up in conversation they just ignored him. Minimally you'd think at some point, someone would have asked why on earth does Beverly keep popping out kids with super powers?
This is EVEN MORE CONFUSING when you realize Wil Wheaton worked for Secret Hideout and was hosting the Picard "after show". Which means they could have just asked Wil to make a cameo as Wesley, but they chose not to.
the maddening thing is that the new kid is clearly the favourite kid as his name is Jack, named after her dead husband. And she protects THIS kid more than Wes. I mean she friggin left him ALONE as a CHILD on the Enterprise at one point for like an entire year or two. But the adult son with spooky borg powers? gotta protect that one and stick to his ass like flies on shit.
