Guess it's better than last year where it was like 96% BG3.

Guess it's better than last year where it was like 96% BG3.
My wife was in law school in 2007 and I needed to get her a change of scenery cause she was studying 70 hours a day. I rented a trashy little house on a canal in Galveston, TX, grabbed my laptop to bring along, and bought a copy of The Orange Box to keep me busy while she studied and looked out the window at something different.
Years later, when I hit 6k hours played in TF2, I decided it was time to do something else.
My son's most played game in his replay this year was TF2 and told me a few weeks ago he thinks he could beat me. I haven't played in years.
Son, Imma wreck your shit.
also i played a lot of fantasy life this year
I don't condone child abuse, but I'd have to watch that beating lmao.
Initially you'll probably hold a bit to not hurt his feelings, but quickly you'll start sweating. (That's my experience)
This has happened to me recently with Smash Bros and my son. He asked me to play recently and I haven't played in about a year so I got handled pretty badly.
He obviously has way more time to play than I do but I've got about 20 years of experience on him, so the next day we played again and it was a much better set of matches for me. The muscles woke up, I need to start practicing more.
The last time I played (probably 3 or 4 years ago), I had my brother pocket medic for me in the same physical room so I could bark orders at him. He'd never played, but he's a good fps player. My first life on a pub server I went as a heavy and got a 22 kill streak. We're a family of highly competent shit talkers and boy, my brother didn't have shit to say.
For the most part, my stats were what I was expecting but I didn't realize how many games I'd played. Exactly 100 different games played, 49 of which were new for me (part of me really wishes I'd gotten 50/100 exactly lol).
I was happy to see Stationeers cracked my top 3. I only started playing it during the last couple days of September but it's been my most consistent game outside of Factorio since picking it up.
Every single year my top games list is dominated by Hearts of Iron IV and Stellaris -_-
I did play 61 different games though and I did enjoy a lot of the variety.
GOTY for games played this year for me would be Tunic and Caves of Qud. Very much recommend checking them out.

Nice.
My top five are Persona 4 Golden, Divinity Original Sin II, Divinity Original Sin, Hollowknight Silksong and Balatro. I was expecting Helldivers 2 in my top this yeae so was a little surprised by its absence.
It was a good year. Played some nice games.

A fellow simracer
That's a wild top 5. All over the place, genre wise.
Different genres, but Pathfinder, Football Manager and Deep Rock Galactic all make sense to me as a single "player type".
I need a little bit of variety, otherwise gaming gets stale for me.
Me too, but people I know into each of those genres usually just play the shit out of those genres. Racing peeps and sports sims peeps usually have a billion hours in them and like 3 playing some else.
And player of great RPGs!

Currently playing Wrath of The Righteous, 84 hours in and it doesn't look like it's going to end soon.
Well damn I played a lot more than I realized!

And I moved to Linux back in October.

Those are some wild numbers! As someone who hyperfixates on one thing at a time and can't keep track of multiple things at once I can't even imagine what your gaming style is like. With 150+ games and averaging 3 sessions a day I'm guessing you play three different games every day?
Lol I wish I had the time to play 3 different games a day. Really, I have lots of small play sessions mostly on the weekends. Depending on what I have going on, I might not play anything for a week. Then other times I get to play something every night for a short window.
In reality, my longest streak this year was 23 days and steam says I played 34 different games in that time. Steam deck sure cranked up my play session counts too. And most of those games I've already beat. I might get an itch to go through a whole game (like the batman Arkham series, just replayed all that over those 23 days) but usually I just get an itch to play a small bit of this or that.

Fellow Ninja Gaiden enjoyer? I like it.
I switched to Linux last year. Seeing this 100% makes me happy.

Every game you played is on my list to play.

Played Baldur's Gate with the wife (finally) and been playing Ember Knights with my kid.
