Not so often now but a decade ago I refused to buy anything online because shipping was always nightmare.
Ahh ok , there is a huge surge in undelivered parcels at the moment in the UK, so currently doing some research
I've had a mixed bag but nothing's gone missing yet. Lots left unattended on the doorstep, a few left with neighbours. Courier services generally send an email to say what's happened to it, while Royal Mail sometimes put a card through the door but sometimes they don't bother, so I've had a few left unattended with nothing to tell me it's there.
A lot of drivers don't bother with the doorbell and just knock (or maybe just throw it at the door, I can't tell). Which isn't really helpful if I'm upstairs. I don't get why they insist on making this more difficult for both of us.
Never. My postman knows he can just come in and leave it by the back door if I'm out. Speak to your postman.
Have gotten these and they never rang the bell. Seriously my wife has medical issues such that they would be hard pressed to come to the house when no one is home. I suspect with annoying packages some put these up and hope some other delivery person gets it on the second attempt. Im not in the uk so will not do the survey as I assume your looking for uk but figured you might like a perspective from elsewhere. In this case the us.
I've been in waiting for the parcel and heard the letterbox flap go and found one of those sorry we missed you cards on the mat
