Similarly, if your RTS has multiple factions and each faction doesn't have its own distinct mouse cursor you may as well delete the source code

There was even an oversight on release that would sometimes change your cursor on loading screen so if you chose random you could know which faction you rolled by the cursor

Company of heroes 2 and 3, halo wars 2, dawn of war 2 and 3 (And soon 4), total war warhammer (Also others, but I would grant you that maybe Cao Cao and Liu Bei don't necessarily need different cursors), Age of Empires 4, the Age of Empires re-releases, Battlefleet Gothic 1 and 2, probably others.

There are some other reasonably picks, like a sword or a wand, but I agree that a gauntlet is definitely the most fun generally.

I remember the days of the internet when things like custom mouse cursors, cool animations, and very personalized designs were the shit. Nowadays everything has to be minimalistic and generic, and it all looks the same.
