Looks like action-action-action-action-action-rpg no 1234141234123, just with a lot of wierd, convoluted and unnecessary mechanics (that stool killed me) obfuscating the fact that it is yet another button smasher.
Oh, yeah, and a nice graphic.
If it's anything like its obvious inspiration, Monster Hunter, it definitely won't be a button masher. At least I hope so :P
I played MH (got bored after 2 hours), it's still button masher, you just not necessarily need to mash it as fast as you can but in more precise moments, which make it better than your usual action game, but it's still first and foremost action game.
