This is what one of our cats would look like except we put her on a diet first. Poor kitty has to hurt jumping down, walking etc. not to mention diabetes.

Yhes and some toys that make him move, a mouse on a string worked really well for my mother's cat.
After a few months of playing a bit every day he got substantialy thinner.
