Is there a Linux equivalent to bitlocker?

This is not really a weakness in the bitlocker encryption but in the TPM used to store the secrets if you set it up like that.

And that is why you dont save the key in your Microsoft account but local only instead.
Or you could .... Delete Windows too. Or only run it in a VM.
Sure if that is a option. I am a fan of Linux too but unfortunately not everyone is ready for it. Specially corporate systems are not due to AD. In those cases where you need windows. Store the key locally.
