Is there a Linux equivalent to bitlocker?

[-] Nioxic@lemmy.dbzer0.com 42 points 1 week ago

While that is indeed.. completely expected, Its not a very safe encryption to begin with

I like my switch the linux more and more every day

This is not really a weakness in the bitlocker encryption but in the TPM used to store the secrets if you set it up like that.

security you don't understand is security you don't have. people really need to stop trusting horseshit from megacorps

The problem isn't that they handed it over. The feds had a warrant, they had no choice. The problem is that they had anything to hand over.

And that is why you dont save the key in your Microsoft account but local only instead.

Or you could .... Delete Windows too. Or only run it in a VM.

Sure if that is a option. I am a fan of Linux too but unfortunately not everyone is ready for it. Specially corporate systems are not due to AD. In those cases where you need windows. Store the key locally.

They are all going to be really impressed when they see how many decks I've beaten on Balatro.
