Ok good, flood the database with normal people. How effective is the database going to be once everyone is in it?

[-] rudiboo@piefed.social 27 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Very. The camps in Germany were full of normal people.

I wonder if the majority in the US realises that this is it, actual fascism is there now. There is no sueing them, protesting, or any of the other good faith methods of voicing your disagreement anymore.

[-] curiousaur@reddthat.com 1 points 1 day ago

They weren't "normal", they were "disloyal".

[-] stoy@lemmy.zip 35 points 1 day ago

Very, then they can just choose who to mess with as they please.

[-] krashmo@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

Does it seem like they're not already doing that to you?

[-] stoy@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 day ago

By having everyone in the database, they don't need even the flimsiest of excuse, then they can just yell "domestic terrorist!" and be done.

Now, they need to pretend that a phone was a sub machine gun, or a gopro was a revolver.

Doing that leaves evidence that they are lying, declaring anyone a domestic terrorist from a prior date makes it much harder for the public to prove their lies.

[-] krashmo@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Again, what you just described sounds exactly like what they did to both Renee and Alex. I don't see how some fake database changes that strategy at all.

[-] stoy@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

It doesn't change it, it makes it more effective and easier to lie about.

[-] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 day ago

They can already do that.

[-] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 1 day ago

its using AI palintir, like using it to target mostly POC, democratic demographics. they arnt targeting red districts thats for sure.

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 41 points 1 day ago

That’s laughable a literal terrorist calling a citizen exercising their constitutional rights a terrorist

[-] altphoto@lemmy.today 5 points 1 day ago

No laughing. That was last year. We have to take them to their word.

[-] HappySkullsplitter@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

My only response would have been that the agent's personal and payroll information is well documented in the government's systems as well

Wonder what the next democrat led government is going to do with that

Wonder what the next democrat led government is going to do with that

Give them a raise or promotion most likely.

[-] SalamenceFury@piefed.social 30 points 1 day ago

Sure you do, Mr. fascist man, meanwhile your employing records are public.

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

But his face is masked and there's no name or number on his non-uniform costume. So it's gonna be very hard to prosecute these fascist terrorists even if we get democracy back.

[-] SalamenceFury@piefed.social 4 points 1 day ago

We have their names, there was a list leaked with 4500 ICE agent's information exposed. Finding their faces and addresses is just a matter of time.

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

But attaching an individual face and name to a specific crime is another thing. There are a lot of less-evil bastards in ICE who deserve less-lethal punishment than these murdering cowards.

[-] SalamenceFury@piefed.social 3 points 1 day ago

IMO if you're part of the Gestapo you gotta go. Maybe not to the afterlife, but all of them should get at minimum life in prison. There are no good ones. The dude who shot Good literally trained other agents for 8 years.

[-] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

We have a database, too.

[-] dipcart@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Its crazy that someone who is wearing a mask is that upset that he got filmed. Like what's the problem? Just that some ICE agent was marked as being there? How is that domestic terrorism?

If the issue us that they're "doxxing" federal agents, well then the masks are probably doing enough to protect the cowards. Just filming them and in no way impeding or identifying agents is domestic terrorism.

But you can see it in that guy's eyes, he feels really powerful when he gets to threaten people like that.

Cool, put everyone on it.
