If you have any good to-do list / productivity, even if not gamefied those recommendations are also welcome!
I'm looking for a gamefied one, so I can get addicted to it :)
Thank you!

I like Habitica. But after a while it stopped motivating me.

Now I use Donetick. You can self host it and use it with your whole household. Now my wife and me are competing with our chores ๐Ÿ˜Ž Also it has a feature called "things". These can trigger new Tasks. You can set them bia the API with Home Assistant. We use it to create tasks like "getting the laundry off the washing maschine", etc.

Also it helps to use an llm to generate rpg-sounding quests instead of just creating tasks. That way you feel more like a hero on a quest, than a bored guy cleaning the toilet.

Habitica is the best one imo

Gamified to the point of having a lil guy you can customise with gear you get from completing stuff

However it is not open source... and needs a paid subscription I think?

https://github.com/HabitRPG/habitica

It is open source. You can even run the server yourself. You'll probably need to build the android app pointed at your server URL. It requires a bit of technical chops. But it's doable if you truly wanted your own stack.

Me and the fam use Nipto. You can set up point values, rewards, and even link it up with the other people in your house. Were I still single, I'd have absolutely gotten a few of my other single friends on it and turned it into a competition where the one that does best picks the venue and the one that does worst buys the drinks. Then it would also incentivize social interaction.

Doesn't seem to be open source though, unless I'm missing something...

Sadly no, but the business practices were really good when I looked into them and they don't seem to harvest data or ask for unneeded access.
