Antarctica’s Hektoria Glacier stunned scientists by retreating eight kilometers in just two months, with nearly half of it collapsing in record time. The rapid breakup was driven by a flat, underwater bedrock surface that allowed the glacier to suddenly float and fracture from below. Satellite and seismic data captured the dramatic chain reaction in near real time. The findings raise concerns that much larger glaciers could one day collapse just as quickly.

Homer: The fastest glacier collapse ever recorded so far

Member when the IPCC — a political org controlled by the worst offenders — said we wouldn't exceed 1.5c until 2035, and we already did that a decade early.

The rest of this century the Epstein class owned media will claim "nobody could have predicted this", even though most climate scientists already know we're screwed. The 3c by 2100 "worst case scenario" will be continuously revised every few years until we actually exceed it (well ahead of the latest corpo-gov projections) closer to 2050.

What is geoscience?

Geoscience (also called Earth Science) is the study of Earth. Geoscience includes so much more than rocks and volcanoes, it studies the processes that form and shape Earth's surface, the natural resources we use, and how water and ecosystems are interconnected. Geoscience uses tools and techniques from other science fields as well, such as chemistry, physics, biology, and math! Read more...
