Canada has been overtly and covertly supporting U.S. funded Israeli genocide in Palestine forever, international law be damned. Supporting an illegal war is nothing new OR surprising.

The Western world has always approached international law this way. It's why the rest of the world usually rolls its eyes when they start to get preachy about it. The contrast between Carneys speech in Davos and now is just more blatant than usual. The rules for thee but not for me doublethink has always been there.

I am sad that our Prime Minister endorsed this illegal act by the US and Israel. What would happen when and if Canada decides to manufacture its own nukes for protection? International Law must be only a guideline that you can cross whenever the mood strikes you.

US will never allow nukes that close. See Cuban missle crisis.

ya, we'd have to do it in secret and quickly or get them from someone else.

International law does not exist and never did. It was just something a few forced on others.

Didn't you hear? In Davos, Carney all but said that our values are to be subsumed by Value (which I thought was also the point of his book, although most people insisted he was saying the inverse)

Lolz. All this hype about being independent of the US. But the moment Americans start butchering brown people, they can't resist
