The fact they went back and added Denuvo to old games. Makes them a No Buy for me. Clearly cant be trusted.

Added them to old games that didn't have them before? What would be the point in that? Once it's cracked, the toothpaste can't be put back in the tube.

I think steam support does offer refunds in those instances where the terms of sale were changed on you when mentioned in a ticket (see Helldivers and newer COD games)

I got a refund when it was added to Ghostwire Tokyo. Fuck Denuvo and the scum companies that use it.

I remember hearing this about the Monster Hunter games a few years ago, so it isn't surprising to hear it holds true for their other franchises, as well. That said, it would be nice if they focused a bit more resources on optimizing the games for their new primary platform.
