  • We are still seeing inflation in groceries, that’s not going away with Operation Epstein Fury gumming up the strait. Expect consistent price increases for a year longer than this goes on at least.
  • Shelter costs are down — I wonder how much this has to do with immigration and the 2021 mortgage renewal window (I.e. you can’t sell for what you paid, and you can’t remortgage into a new property without realizing a loss)

All goods inflation feel less important than where we sleep and eat.

When I see the Operation Epstein Fury I always read it as Operation Epstein Furry, and what ever the name Trump calls the distraction I read as Furry as well. It takes me a brief moment to realize that is not what I saw, and carry on with my day.

Shelter costs were ignored on the way up as as excluded from the basket of goods. Don't see why they would be included on the way down unless my brain's cynicism setting slipped.

They have different baskets of goods, core inflation excludes housing I believe.

Corporations will soon jack up those prices soon, if not preemptively, and blame it "on these difficult times".

Also the price of things won't fall but become the new "low price".
