Source tells me that Naval Special Warfare teams were also given deployment orders yesterday, as well as a bunch of Tier 1 operators.

That plus the 82nd Airborne deployment plus Netanyahu's obvious feint that he expects a ceasefire agreement this weekend suggests all the pieces are in place for a ground operation within day.

🇮🇱❌🇮🇷🇷🇺 Now we know why Russia warned about the Caspian.

Last week Israel struck Bandar Anzali, Iran's main Caspian port, hitting warships, a command center, and a shipyard. Israel's first ever strike on the world's largest inland sea.

The Caspian is the primary corridor for Russian-Iranian military and trade cooperation such as drones, artillery, ammunition, wheat, oil. Shipments through Bandar Anzali tripled last year.

The WSJ calls this "smuggling." Russia and Iran are two sovereign states conducting bilateral trade and military cooperation. The only crime is that Washington sanctioned it.

Russia condemned the strike. Peskov warned further spillover would be viewed "extremely negatively." Israel didn't publicly mention Russia when announcing the attack, deliberately avoiding forcing Moscow's hand.

It struck the corridor anyway.

France is saying that Iran's strikes have demolished 30 to 40% of the oil refinery capacity in the Gulf, resulting in a shortage of 11 million barrels a day on the global scale. It also says it could take up to three years to restore the facilities.

Buckle up, guys.

"Fuel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is severely limited" – Zelensky's militants are suffering from the US-Iran war.

Two soldiers in Ukraine told POLITICO that recent price hikes are negatively impacting their fuel supplies for combat vehicles such as tanks, artillery, and armored personnel carriers.

"Fuel prices are horrific. Even in the armed forces, fuel is currently severely limited," said a senior Ukrainian soldier familiar with the situation, who requested anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the press.

⭕️ Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its Navy carried out a coordinated missile and drone assault in Wave 84 of Operation True Promise 4 against US forces in Kuwait’s Shuwaikh port and along the coast and port of Dubai, using Qadr-380 ballistic and cruise missiles alongside attack drones.

The IRGC also said six US LCU combat landing craft were hit, with three reportedly sunk and the rest set ablaze, while separate drone strikes targeted gathering points of US drone unit personnel and a hotel in Dubai, resulting in the reported killing of a large number of US troops and the destruction of tactical equipment.

❗️Israeli chief of staff warns that Israeli forces as 'on course to collapse'

According to a report from Ynet, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir issued a stark warning during a cabinet meeting, declaring that Israel forces are “on course to collapse into themselves" under mounting internal and operational strain. Zamir cautioned that force requirements are rapidly expanding while the army remains overstretched across multiple active fronts, from Gaza and Lebanon to Syria and the occupied West Bank.

The warning came as the government pressed ahead with expanding illegal outposts in the occupied West Bank, further burdening an already depleted military. Zamir highlighted a surge in Israeli settler violence, forcing the redeployment of additional battalions, while stressing that the growing demands on manpower are incompatible with current capabilities. At the same time, the government has failed to pass legislation addressing recruitment shortages, including laws on ultra-Orthodox conscription, reserve service, and extending mandatory military service.

According to Zamir, the situation is approaching a breaking point. “The reservists will not hold,” he warned, raising “10 red flags” over the army’s sustainability. He added that, at this pace, Israeli forces may soon be unable to maintain even routine operational readiness.

From Sony Thang:

The oil market is a mechanism for transferring wealth.

This is not controversial.
Every financial market is, among other things, a mechanism for transferring wealth between those with better information and those with worse information.
Between those who can shape events and those who can only react to them.
When a sitting president can move oil futures by 3 percent with a social media post, when that post's content is fabricated, when there are no actual negotiations, when the deadline has no operational backing, when the whole structure is a performance, the wealth transfer is not incidental.
It is the point.
Three percent of the daily oil futures market is an enormous number.
The positions that benefit from that movement are not held by retired teachers and working families with index funds.
They are held by funds, by institutional investors, by people with enough capital to take a significant position before the statement and exit it after the move.
Every time Trump runs this play, money moves from the less informed to the more informed.
Every time.
And the mechanism that is supposed to prevent this, securities regulation, market manipulation law, the institutional oversight that applies to every other participant in financial markets, has not been applied to the sitting POTUS doing it openly, repeatedly, on a weekly cycle.
If a hedge fund manager published fabricated news about Iranian negotiations to move oil futures, they would be in federal court.
When Trump does it, it's called foreign policy.
The law has a name for what this is.
The question is whether anyone with authority will ever say the name out loud.

The approximate scale of radioactive contamination during the destruction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran. The station built by Russia is still functioning, but the recent arrival of a missile (or missile fragments) within 350 meters of the reactor compartment, which is enclosed by a hermetic shell, suggests that its destruction was at least considered and allowed by the attacking side. If the protective shell of the VVER-1000 reactor is breached, a unique in scale and danger nuclear catastrophe will occur.

There are about 72 tons of nuclear fuel in the reactor's active zone, and more than 200 tons of spent elements in the spent fuel pools. The destruction of the cooling systems will lead to a meltdown of the active zone and a massive release of radionuclides (Cs-137, I-131, Sr-90). Although the protective shell of the VVER-1000 reactor is capable of localizing part of the release, the prevailing wind direction will direct the radioactive cloud to the southeast - directly towards the UAE.

In the conditions of the desert, where there are no natural precipitations to "wash" the soils and rivers to carry away the suspended matter, cesium-137 will settle in the salt flats and coastal zone forever. For the UAE, this means not just an economic downturn, but the physical end of the state.

And then the radiation will go to Oman, across the ocean to reach the southern part of India, possibly affecting Sri Lanka and quite possibly reaching Indonesia, Malaysia, and the southern part of Thailand.

❗️Iran mobilizing 1 million fighters to repel invasion, warns of ‘hell’ if US launches ground war

Iran has announced the mobilization of one million troops in preparation for what it calls a “suicidal” US ground war on Iranian soil, with particular focus on defending the strategic Kharg Island, through which nearly 90 percent of the country’s oil is exported.

A military source quoted by Tasnim News Agency described a surge of enthusiasm among land forces, prepared to create a “historical hell” for any invading US troops.

The official also highlighted a sharp rise in volunteers for the Basij paramilitary, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the regular army, with youth flooding recruitment centers over the past several days. Any US attempt to forcibly reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the source warned, would be “suicide,” emphasizing that Iran is fully ready to maintain control of the crucial waterway amid ongoing tensions.

🇮🇷🛢Iran's oil sales revenue has sharply increased, and it remains the only exporter through the Strait of Hormuz, — Bloomberg

  • Iran's exports in March remained close to pre-war levels — about 1.6 million barrels per day.

  • Tankers with Iranian oil continue to be loaded at the Kharg terminal and exit the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz.

  • At the same time, oil prices have risen, and the discount on Iranian oil relative to the international benchmark Brent has dropped to $2.10 per barrel — this is the lowest level in almost a year.

  • Iran has likely earned hundreds of millions of dollars in additional revenue from oil sales since the beginning of the war.

📺 🇮🇷Iran’s AI propaganda video masterclass

Iranian media, IRGC-affiliated channels, influencer networks and independent content creators are flooding social media with a stream of polished, emotionally powerful and hilarious AI-generated videos, with some surely destined to be featured in future documentaries and lectures on the history of the current conflict.

Far from the AI slop content that we’ve all become used to, many of the videos serve as effective propaganda in the best sense of the word - the dissemination and deliberation of info and ideas to put forward Iran’s case in the face of US-Israeli aggression.

The clips feature:

🔴 regular references to Baal, the devil-horned demon of Western occult tradition associated with child sacrifice, which Iran effectively declared war on in February amid the publication of the Epstein files

🔴 abundant references to the files themselves, (correctly) framing the war as an existential struggle between Iran and the global Epstein class

🔴 multiple videos making reference to the brutal double tap attack on an Iranian girls school on day 1 of the war

🔴 a series of endearing, Lego-inspired videos, from a modern retelling of the Quranic Battle of the Elephants featuring Trump and Netanyahu, to a full-length rap about Trump the reckless gambler

🔴 comedic clips, like Trump talking to himself while pretending to negotiate with the Iranians

🔴 a video feat. Scott Ritter on Trump’s total ignorance of the Shia faith, the Twelvers, the story of Husayn ibn Ali, the Battle of Karbala, and the fact that for Iranians, this is a religious war

🔴 and even a movie trailer-style “based on a true story, unfortunately” clip featuring real-world actors parodying Netanyahu’s ‘Iran is two weeks away from a nuke’ rhetoric and the chaos unleashed by Trump’s decision to unleash this war.

🇺🇸 Surprise, Surprise... Trump lied.

Bloomberg tanker data shows no evidence of the eight oil tankers Trump claimed were in the Strait of Hormuz.

Only two Iran-linked LPG carriers were observed leaving the Persian Gulf on Thursday—likely the “extra two” he mentioned.

While some vessels disable tracking for security reasons, most ships recently transiting Hormuz have kept their signals on.

In total, just four vessels—a pair of bulk carriers, one container ship, and one LPG carrier—were confirmed exiting in recent days.
