Groove salad is home base
I love SomaFM! Been listening since the early days. My favorite channels: Groove Salad Classic, DefCon, Vaporwaves, Department Store Christmas (during the holidays).
Always updoot SomaFM.
Cliqhop, Suburbs of Goa, Groove Salad, and Drone Zone really expanded my exposure to genres like ambient, drone, lounge, neo soul, world beats, and electronic. I feel I became a more well-rounded enjoyer of music because of this station, and it deserves all the attention and donations it can get.

I love coding to groove salad.
Groove Salad is my absolute favorite to get in the zone and work. Very few vocals, which I prefer as hearing vocals and trying to read is annoying for me.

SomaFM is the GOAT for chillout / ambient / triphop. Been listening to their Groove Salad channel since 2005 and still do to this day. Paying for it for as long as I've had a decent job. The only non-FOSS sticker worthy of my university laptop:

I use Sleep as Android as my alarm (purchased it when it wasnt absurdly priced) and use SomaFM for waking up. New song every day, and sometimes I will save the song to listen later.
Left coast 70s is my go-to to test a new client audio install. It has never offended anyone and is always "fresh".

Their eclectic Christmas channels are on 24/7 in my house during December. And Groove Salad can turn any get-together into a classy chill.
One of the best web sites ever. I just turn on Synphaera and then off the background music in RPGs, it is a nice change.
Their underground 80s station was a regular listen for me about 10 years ago. Glad to see they’re still going!

They have curators, who create the playlist and select the songs, but they are not live mixing or selecting what's is going to play. In each of the stations you can check the bio of the people behind the music selection.

The curation is human yes. There are prerecorded snippets of the djs throughout the day.
Sadly I doubt there are many 24/7 live DJs today. Though I'd love that job!

Secret Agent is one of the oldest channels and the most accessible. Start with that one, let it run in the background as you're working or just hanging out - I guarantee you'll hear something you like.
