Nice try, pickpocket.
Nice try stochastic pick pocketer
I don't always carry all of this, but this is fully-loaded:
- Right pocket: phone
- Left pocket: beeswax lip balm, contact lens drops, vehicle keys
- Right side pocket: work keys, microfiber cloth
- Left side pocket: work phone, device failure "toe tags"
- Belt: work ID/access badge
- Right extra pocket: bit-driver with 8 bits
- Right rear: wallet
- Left rear: needlenose pliers
- Clipped to lapel: micro Phillips/flathead screwdriver, pen
- Shoulder: laptop bag with cables
- Right ear: Bluetooth earpiece
I'm pretty happy with this setup for most of my workday...
Left front: phone
Right front: keys, change, sometimes earplugs
Right butt: wallet
Anything else I need is in my backpack.
Keys front right, wallet rear right, phone rear left. That's all I carry.
Front left is for anything miscellaneous I pick up during the day, if I do.
Before I retired, I also carried a pen, and a leatherman tool, but I don't need those anymore.
As for pockets, I ain't saying which, but almost ways just my wallet and phone. Only things I ever really carry on me regularly. Keys usually stay with whatever I am taking with me ( laptop case, backpack, whatever ), so I'd be screwed if I lost whatever I take with me.
I like to put my pocket into my pocket and watch things get real weird.
Phone front right, wallet and earbuds front left. My keys go on a retractable carabiner attached to a belt loop but sometimes get tucked into the nearest pocket to reduce jingling.
Front right: keys.
Back right: wallet.
Back left: phone, until I sit down then I just pull it out and set it on a table or something.
Front left: nothing usually, but if I put something that isn't one of the above in my pocket, that's the one. When I smoked, that's where the cigarette case went.
Phone on left. Bundle of keys on the right. Dick typically goes right, but I try to even it out once in a while.
All you left pocket phone people, are you left handed?
No, because I hold the phone with my nondominant hand (my left) and interact with it using my dominant hand (my right). Why would I put it in the pocket on my dominant handed side? I'd just have to switch it to the other hand once it was out of my pocket.
Interacting with my phone is so much easier with my dominant hand (right).
This is what prompted the question. I didn’t have a phone until I was older, so my wallet always went in the right. Only place left for the phone is the left.
There was speculation this could be an age thing.
Funny, I grew up without a phone but my wallet was always back right pocket, keys in front left.
front right: phone side right: wallet front left: keys side left: smoking stuff, meshtastic radio back left: handkerchief
For some reason your post reminded me of when I got my first flip phone and I hadn't had a designated pocket for it.
That's why they had phone holsters.
A tissue.
Just in case.
#fapnation
Phone, left front. Wallet (including work fob) and key in right front; small flashlight and chapstick in the coin pocket; pen clipped to back right pocket.
Plus I guess not technically in my pocket, but I've been front horizontal carrying a leatherman (or sometimes a fixed blade with a pry bar clipped to it).
Wallet, keys and phone. Front pockets.
Left front phone. Right front knife or multitool. Coin pocket zippo. Rear right wallet, rear left key fob. On the occasion I have my keys me, they're on a short leather strap clipped to my belt loop in my right front.
Due to my job, all my jackets have a millimeter ruler and a staedler 319f marker in the front pocket, and my left inside pocket has a fountain pen with blue ink, and a pilot gtec C4 with black ink. Right Inside pocket has a hairtie, toothpicks, and a carved jade turtle figurine (skjoldpada).
Walkie, phone, pens, band aids, counter, whatever I found on the floor…whichever pocket has room.
gasp
You just put stuff in your pockets all willy nilly!?
Left front: phone
Right front: wallet and hand towel
Back belt loop: keys on caribeener
maybe a hair tie or marker pen. sometimes tools (mainly wrenches). uhh not really any specific pockets we use for stuff, ,
Right: phone 1, phone 2, AirPods
Left: wallet, knife, car key.
Left pocket: phone and if I don't have a bag then also my secrid wallet behind my phone with my screen against my leg.
Right pocket: folding knife, dog poop bags
If it's cold then my vest has my gloves and toque when I get to warm.
If it is dark then I have a light clip on my chest in some way so the light is in shining on my path.
If I'm hiking light then I probably have an extendable hiking pole with folding water bottle.
I tend to keep a fair bit of my stuff clipped to my belt loops, not quite as streamlined and elegant as cramming everything in a pocket, but much easier to tell when something is missing (and far less likely to beat up my phone).
Front left pocket: wallet, multitool (Nextool s11)
Front left belt loop: noise cancelling earbuds (Sony WF-1000XM5)
Front right pocket: phone (pixel 9 pro xl)
Front right belt loop: keys
Hip right belt loop: work badge (when applicable)
nice try fed 😛
Depends where I am and weather, here in Japan, its
Front right: Phone
Front left: wallet+earbuds
Back right: keys/train tickets back
Back left: misc recipts
Inner jacket right: tissues+hand sanitizer
Inner jacket left: folding umbrella.
I don't have pants pockets but my purse is to the left. I made it myself so I have a perfectly sized pocket for my phone towards the front, wallet in the middle, keys further back. Random whatever else goes in the main compartment
most days, I wear cargo pants, and I put my phone in right pocket, keys in left. and Bluetooth earbuds in lower left pocket , wallet in the lower right.
Cargo can be hard to find in the shops these days. I love it for air travel.
