Feels fucking insane that i'm the only person at my job who seems worried. Like, we sell food. What do they think is gonna happen when with the budget we're given we literally can't afford ingredients to sell?

We've already had a few weeks of really sparse produce and running out of shit like fucking cooking oil but i think that was just due to them not ordering enough

There is the angle that this is accelerationist behaviour by Western capitalists to collapse certain systems so they can snatch up assets up at pennies on the dollar from bankrupting farms & businesses.

Never attribute to stupidity what can easily be explained by disaster capitalism
