Yes, yes, let the poor child hide in his hobbit hole… He will finally be able to come out in 30 or 40 years for his next adventure…
Just like the rest of us
Man, that sounds like something great to do on purpose.
Sounds like he's all shook up... Uh huh huh.
Sometimes you gotta let a kid make a mistake to teach them lol
God, this story and your comment reminded me. When I was... 13 or so probably, I was at some event for my brother and his group. People were speaking and I was half paying attention. I heard them say .... <> please come up. I thought they said my name, I started getting up, my mom tried to stop me but I was indignant. I got up there and was mortified as everyone stares at me, wondering why I'm up there. To this day I think of that, and I don't get up in front of anyone unless I'm damn sure it's supposed to be me.
Went to school as an elvish impersonator.
Top Mom move if the kid had a spare elf costume. I hope he did have one, and just had to change :)
Too bad he didn't figure out how to ham it up properly. Hail to the King, baby!
Which one was he meant to be?
If I understand correctly, his mom let him go as Elvis but it did turn out to be elves.
Now I’m imaging Elvis singing a song in Elvish.
The Muppets did The Elves and the Shoemaker as Elvis and the Shoemaker, and they sang Blue Suede Shoes
Knew it was gonna be Brennan before even clicking. Only one who could
They always give Brennan the LOTR prompts.
+1 point for the undying lands?
Since it says the king returns home he went as Elvis so he was supposed to be an elf
Am I the only one questioning the reality of any of this? What kind of kid just happens to have an Elvis costume laying around?
No, the dialogue between a mother and child every time a school wants kids to dress up as something is "Oh hell how are we going to throw this together?" Yes even for an elf costume. And I can't think of any scenario where a school would suddenly spring this on a family "oh by the way you all need to dress up like an elf for tomorrow's morning assembly."
This didn't happen.

That part makes sense. They could've told the kid way sooner and sent several notes home that are still in his backpack.
Kids going places!
