Yes.

November 13, 2025, The company behind the Grand Theft Auto games fired more than 30 employees last week in what a union leader called an egregious example of union-busting, with some effects being felt in Canada.

Bloomberg reported last week that Rockstar Games, owned by Take-Two Interactive Software, terminated 34 employees in the U.K. and Canada.

Ubisoft just did the same thing in Halifax in Canada. Firing workers who unionized.

Ubisoft shut down its Halifax studio on Jan. 7, laying off 71 people three weeks after the majority of the team had received union certification. The company has denied that the studio's closure was related to the unionization, instead citing financial difficulties for the decision.

someone should kill Yves Guillemot in real life. I do not live in france, this is not an actionable threat.

Good for them. I knew a few people who worked at their California studios and they said the working conditions were brutal.
