TBF, if standard inflation is continuing more or less steadily, $60 in 4020 money should be just about free.

"That'll be $600,000."

It pisses me off Nintendo is allowed to sell handheld computers with their operating system so locked down they become junk in only a handful of years.

the tl;dr (or perhaps: too ideological; don't care) is yes they are reposting bots, doing what they do because they feel like lemmy.ml is a shit community run by bad people (they're maybe not completely wrong) and their purpose is to copy all useful content off lemmy.ml communities into other communities because they would like to see a world where everyone can defederate lemmy.ml and nothing of value is lost.

And you posted to Gaming@lemmy.ml so they reposted your comment here.

That’s an interesting crusade to wage, I never would have learned about this at all if not for your comment.

Gotcha, I normally just post on whatever place comes first that matches the description

[-] cecilkorik@piefed.ca 6 points 3 days ago

That's totally fair, and that's why bots like these exist I guess. For what it's worth, I wouldn't have seen this if the bot hadn't reposted it, so, everything is working as intended, great success!

Now that Ive slept on it my only hangup is that attribution gets lost midway through even if i'm not a .ml user/supporter
