Even if they resolve many of those issues, I doubt the supermarket monopolists will dare lower prices and still toss massive amounts of food in the trash and let them rot instead of lowering prices or giving them away.

Fun fact: In the very early 80s when Ronald Reagan first became president, they had a glut of cheese in the United States.
