I suffered two concussions; one at the age of 4, the other at 19. Concerned about long term effects, especially as I age, I asked my Doctor about getting scanned for CTE. He told me No, because lacking any cognitive defects that I was actively suffering from, preventative care was currently not a priority for the system.

I had a similar experience in Australia (public health). 25 years ago I woke up in an MRI post rock climbing accident.

This is great. I really hope for their success in this. The changes this could bring to sport would also be dramatic and for the good.
